4 litres of Castrol edge 5w30

    air filter

    oil filter

    sump plug

  2. Mine!

im the second owner. Not quite the same MPG as my old pd130 but is serious fun. Need to lower it before the wife notices!!

also with one child and another pending I’ve opted for Aldi £14.99 seat covers to protect the interior. Having had the car 8 weeks. I’ve seen enough jammy dodger and smarties debris to make the decision worth it.

  3. Hi all,

ive got a Mk2 vrs estate with maxidot, bolero and MDI. The cable that comes is the old Apple one, for the iPhone 4 and older. I can see you buy the MDI cable with the newer lightning connector but can’t seem to find out if I will get the same functionality.

Ive tried an old iPad plugged in with the old adapter and have full steering wheel function and maxi dot display.

Has as anyone got a recent iPhone working via MDI?

  4. Cheers for quick reply!

thanks for the advice, glad to have some specific things to look for when I go to view. I’m looking to haggle a service out of them if the major hasn’t been done at 39k and then go for the new service plan Škoda offer for a major and minor service @ £387. If main dealer has serviced will the parts replaced be itemised in the vehicle service documents? Can I verify this with Škoda using the registration?

the one on classifieds is gorgeous and is exptremely well appointed but my budget just doesn’t allow a £2k jump.(new baby on the way, hence the vrs estate)

  5. Hi!

ive been looking for the right vrs estate for a while and one has been for sale on the major websites for a while. Silver 13 reg on auto trader.

I’ve already spoken to dealer over the phone and queried service history. 2 main dealer services at 19k & 39k. Now at 45k should I expect more services to have occurred?

Im going for a test drive tomorrow. Other than checking general condition does anyone else recommend further checks I can do to ensure I’m gettin a sweet runner?

    thanks

    Andy

  6. Scoping out interest in I'm MK1 fabia vrs.

    135k

    black magic

    factory xenons and cruise

full service history in log book up to 2014. Since then I've serviced myself, up to twice a year. I have some receipts for parts, admittedly I don't have all. But I reckon 6 services since I've had it due to the higher mileage.

    11 months MOT.

has had new clutch, starter motor and battery in last 2 months, new front hub and brake carrier this week.

exterior: fair condition for age, a few rust bubbles behind rear licence plate and on sills. Stone chips on front and bonnet.

4 good standard alloys, some staining.

Interior is clean bar the usual rip in drivers seat. Everything electricL works.

car is unmodified and unmolested, I've done mainly motorway miles and only selling due to needing an estate.

Will post some pics over the weekend. Will be available from the 14th of August.

  7. Its been a while but finally at the end of my tether with the car, almost. After successfully replacing the clutch, whilst re installing the starter motor the male connector inside the starter motor solenoid snapped off, after 3 years of being crimped on. Removed he starter motor the 5mm worth of connector won't go back in so time for new starter motor and connector to the loom. All in all £73 for a new motor delivers same day and 30 minutes connecting all back up. Still, I've replaced the clutch, battery and starter, fluid and filter service it's cost under £300 and however way you look at it, I've saved hundreds doing it all myself. Go DIY if you can
