Hi
I'm after a little bit of advice if anybody could help me, sorry if this is in the wrong area.
Basicly I'd like to insulate between the rafters on my roof as im looking to board out the loft floor.
The problem I have is that there isn't any felt or membrane between the batterns and the tiles.
What can I use? glass fiber wool cut to size, Kingspan type boards or the multi foil insulation?
Do I need to add membrane or waterproofing before the insulation?
What steps do I need to take for adequate ventilation? There is plenty at the moment between the tiles.
The roof is in good condition without any leaks as far as im aware.
Thank's
Joe

There was a black fabia vrs in Bickerton Skoda Sheffield last week, with a vrs reg, don't know if it's anybodys off here though.

I've got a few pet hates but the one that bugs me the most is people using the left hand lane to go right at roundabouts. (unless road markings say you can)

Extremely rare. I can only recall one member on here with a yellow Mk I Octy estate.
I considered one a few years ago, but eventually went for a red one instead. Still wish I had picked yellow just to be different.
Making up for it now with a yellow Fabia vRS!
I have one and there is another member with one near Coventry I think. I went for it just because is so different. But it has got me in trouble because it's so easy to spot :P
May have trouble if I ever sell it though, you either love it or hate it.

Congrats on the twins. Get ready
Can't comment on how much you can get in a furby boot as never looked in one, but I definatly think you need something bigger bought a octy combi for the reason I have twins which is plenty big enough even with a jane powertwin buggy in there.

It belongs to Simon who organised the show and posts under the username macvwnut
believe it was formerly a jabbasport demo car
Seen it quite alot we live in the same town. Been meaning to stop and have a chat about what had been done to it. It's a nice looking car

The owner of the green estate reg starting Y82 is it anybody off here?
-
Hi,
I've just had the octy serviced (80,000 mile on monday) and when I got home from work last night I noticed that at tick over my engine my engine now sounds a little like a diesel which stops when you increase the revs slightly.
I've just read that it may be the hydraulic cam lifter but should only happen from cold? The noise seems to be coming from the cambelt side of the engine at the top.
Is it anything to worry about or will it go?
I've only done around 30 miles since the service.
I think they used Fuch's titan supersyn oil which is o.k for fixed servicing as far as I'm aware.
Other than that the car runs fine, it's a 03 VRS by the way

I'll make one too.
I'm on nights (up to now) so may not make it while later on. But will cross that bridge abit nearer the time.

I love it too. Don't think too many people will share that thought though. Tescos do something similar in a tube but it's alot cheaper but not quite as good.
-
lancaster lad - if no one replies then suggest you try using the Member Map facility (nr top of page).
I did find an Octy owner (age 30) near there but don't want to post details.
IT'S NOT ME!!

Lummox,
Was she one on saturday or was that the day you just had the party?
My 2 little girls were one on saturday as well if that's the case.
The time has just flown by.

Sorry if this has been posted already. Had a look but couldn't find it.
I've just got this joke off my bro in law
My mate has just bought one of those new Skodas yesterday,
he only crashed it on the way home.
He's o.k
but there was F*'%ing cake and jam everywhere.

Normally use clippers to keep that couple of days growth look.
When I do shave its king of shaves gel and Mk3 razor but think I look odd really clean shaven. :P
-
Which company do you work for?????? Might know it..... They've split us up / changed the names that much though over the years.
Cheers
Dave.
I work for Northern, I quite enjoy it. I work long shifts but get plenty of time off.
-
1. You buy a Vrs estate, drive round to your mates and open the boot to show him the size of it rather than lift the bonnet.
2. Drive to the coast and take a packed lunch.
-
I do 14 mile each way, mainly travel by car but starting to use train as I too get free travel on trains but travelling by train puts a extra hour on my working day which is long enough when I work 12 hours shifts.
-
Congratulations,
I've got twins and bought the estate, up to now it's plenty big enough and the boot is easily big enough to use as a changing mat which I did the other day on a run to the coast makes your back ache when you get to the second one though.

Definatly get the water pump done, had mine done 3 weeks ago and the impeller had broken up, belt was definalty on it's way out too.
Looks like I was charged way over the odds for the work at a independent specialist but it's done now. Still the price is nothing compared to the cost when they go.
