  1. Is it any good when compared to V12? What are the feature updates btw?
  2. That's interesting! Unless it's not available here in the UK. I've used both parallel and reversing into bay but I'm pretty sure we don't have getting out of bay mode. Does it take you out of parallel or perpendicular bay btw?
  3. Are you sure that's available in SII? Not that I'm aware of.....I know it's available in Oct III & SIII. As far as I know, there are only 2 modes in SII FL - parallel & reversing into bay. Correct me if I'm wrong!
  4. SuperB-NI, where did you get this info from? We all know about the inductive charging but where did you read about frameless rear view mirror (same as Passat too) & additional ambient colour lighting options? Do you work for Skoda by any chance?? Btw, 10 colour options seems a lot if you ask me....even S Class has only 7 colour options so the info doesn't seem to be reliable!
  5. As far as I know, SII does not have 'getting out of bay/parallel park' option. It has only 2 modes - parallel park and reversing in to bay. But Octavia III and SIII should have 3 modes.
  6. Nice ones, Nick....however, the topic should say like this "Lighting and a few Superb pics" :p
  7. Depends how tall you are and of course whether you sit in the lowermost seating position?? SII has a high driving position when compared to other cars in the same segment such as Insignia, Mondeo, Mazda 6 etc.....This means, it's much better to see forward down even when I sit in the lowermost position (I'm 5'9"). After test driving SIII, I have to say that you sit slightly lower than SII but given the technology such as front sensors etc, one should be able to live with it easily. Don't forget Superb is a long car which is 4.85m long and it is slightly longer than your Saab. If you would want to see the bonnet edges so that you are very confident in positioning your car, you need an SUV like Range Rover. But, given the amount of headroom in SIII, you should be able to easily see the bonnet by adjusting the seat and sitting a bit higher.
  8. We've discussed this before several times here. Yes, rear wipers are functional and nobody disagrees but it just spoils the exterior design of SIII. I think SUK have done the right thing here by adding this feature as a 'free option'. If you want, add it and if not, dont! Simples :p Let's not talk about safety and being a mandatory feature. Nobody can drive without headlights and hence mandatory and of course you can live without rear wiper.....Me personally, no rear wiper on SIII.
  9. InfiniteDreamer, do the front parking sensors activate automatically as seen in Passat and other executive cars? In SII, you can activate front ones only by pressing the PDC switch.
  10. Are you the first to own an SIII in England? If so, congratulations and have fun with the new baby.

  12. Why don't you test yourself by opening the door against the wall (of course without damaging the door) to see the point of contact. Depending on that, you can stick them on all doors. I have in mine and its more of an aesthetic purpose. I had to stick foam strips in the garage to avoid any damage to the door
  13. Thanks, hpoom. See if this link works: http://imgur.com/gallery/DS5IF/new
  14. I wanted to share few pics of SIII exterior (L&K hatch) taken on Launch day but unable to.....says 'error with file upload'! How else can I attach pictures here? Suggestions plz....In fact each picture is smaller than 2MB but still unable to upload
