  1. Thanks everyone...will find out how it works!
  2. Hi all, Bought a 1.5 petrol SE however it was not really meeting our needs, so have switched to a gorgeous 2 litre diesel SEL DSG, what a lovely car 😀 It comes with this pad thing, and I'm not sure if this is just some kind of wireless interface or can actually charge my phone? Any info appreciated. Cheers
  3. Rollers. £600? Think I'll stick to paths well worn then! I just can't get over how tall the cabin is!
  4. Hi all, Kodiaq arrived this week...I think it is MY21 given the steering wheel? I also have USB-C chargers. Although it's SE, there is a sat-nav button (see photo)...I wonder if it's now as easy as asking for it to be activated? Lots to explore in new car...kids love it too!
  5. I was shocked to learn that the OTR price of a Kodiaq included £540 VED in year 1! I currently pay £20 🙈
  6. I tried to get SE Drive but apparently there are none! I did think I saw some in stock on a PCH site, but maybe Skoda keep them in a pool for those type of companies. I think I'll take the SE as it's in stock and I'll get the extra 3 months...although dealer has gone quiet since I told her on Sunday I'd go ahead(!)
  7. I am also saving 23% I think, looking at the cost of the car...23% off an Edition is great, but not within my budget!
  8. So how does that work with the deposit contribution and 3 months payment holiday? If the car arrives after 30 Sept?
  9. It has been really difficult finding 1.5 petrol cars in stock...everyone wants to offer diesels at over £400 per month!
  10. Can you control it on screen or do you need to stop and use your phone?
  11. And yes I plan on it too. It took me a long time to realise that under HP I don't own the car any more than under PCP! I use PCH and PCP these days all the time.
  12. Which dealer was that? Lack of front sensors and sat nav are my biggest issue tbh
  13. Story of my life! I was factoring in the 3 months free as a good deal. I'll look at brokers for a higher spec model I think. Thanks everyone
  14. Hmm...it's the equipment that I'm not sure about...maybe back to the drawing board! He's comparing to his Karoq payment, but he's got the bells and whistles! Cheers
  15. I was just thinking that! 😂 1.5 manual, 5k, pcp
  16. Hi all New to Kodiaq but potential 5th Skoda...Been offered metallic white SE 7 seater 0 deposit, skoda pay first 3 months then 295 x 45...would have wanted more toys like in Drive or SE L but mate with a Karoq said this is a steal and I should take it...any thoughts? Cheers
  17. My citigo was written off last month after 25 months into 42 months deal. Initial offer was 600 below finance. I maxed my final payment though at time of deal. Think things start to even out around 30/36 months...will depend on GFMV I suppose. Hopefully others can help. If a dealer wants (needs!) a deal then they can make it happen though! For example I got a fabia se with metallic paint and spare wheel down to 137 a month at end of Sept there...opted for another car in the end though.
  18. Sorry can't see how to just edit last post on phone but again just so folks can go in to their dealers with prices to beat I switched to 41 months (don't know why they didn't do 42) 0 deposit 108 per month 8k a year. I think this is an amazing deal from skoda especially with free servicing, 0% apr and no deposit....totally blew all my contract hire quotes out of the water! Have never driven a skoda so hopefully enjoy the car!
  19. Thanks both. I believe I can "vt" half way but I've noticed the payments are such that the half way point is 36/42 months anyway no earlier. Markyg your comments make me think I should just go for 42 as dealer will prob be able to sell me a new deal earlier anyway. I'd rather save £12 a month in the mean time...as for miles I suppose you'll tend to have equity anyway as these gmfvs seem to be purposely set at a low level.
  20. Thanks stormchaser. I've been used to 24 month leases but don't know if I'd get away with cancelling 12 months early on a pcp so maybe 30 months ish....I'm just wondering if I was silly not to have taken the 42 months...I suppose the future value (before GFMV date) and my needs can be affected by many unforeseen things...it just feels weird to have opted for a higher monthly figure.
  21. I've taken a PCP deal on a new 5 door Citigo SE. It's £0 deposit and 36 x £120. They would have done £0 deposit 42 x £108. I don't really want a car for 42 months and not even 36 months if I can help it so I went for 36 hoping to get out of it early but part of my brain is questioning my logic. On these 0% PCP deals is it always better to go as long as you can? Thanks for any advice.
  22. Just for other folk to compare...I went back to dealer and got same deal for £120/month.
  23. Wow I feel robbed! Signed on a 36 month £0 deposit £128/month 24000 miles today and thought I had played a blinder!
