  1. I've had work done on my Mk1 Fabia VRS by the lads and lasses at T&P a few times now. I'm always greeted with a smile and in fact many of their staff now know me by name. (A really nice touch). The service is professional, the coffee is awesome and everybody at the dealership is helpful and friendly. I cannot recommend them enough. A great example of the great work they do is this: I bought my car from Arnold Clark in Edinburgh a couple of years back and had a service plan thrown in. As part of the service plan, they offer a free safety check on the car whenever you drop it in. After a service they gave me a call and told me that the nearside rear spring was gubbed. The quote to replace it was £220 plus the cost of a courtesy car. That seemed a bit steep to me, so I called T&P Skoda (they are closer to my work than Arnold Clark anyway). T&P quoted me just over £100 including a courtesy car for the night - an absolute bargain considering that they used genuine parts. In short, these guys saved me a heap of money and left me smiling after paying the bill (that doesn't happen often)! Needless to say, the rest of the servicing and any work I need done is going through Thomson and Potter - absolutely 5 star. They are now based in Edinburgh Road in Perth, opposite the prison - well worth a visit!
  2. Guys, Went round to see Mike today and bought a set of wheels for my Fabia. He's an absolutely top notch chap - definitely recommend him to anybody who wants parts for their car. Loads of bits there in great condition - particularly the interior.
  3. Hi all, I'm looking to swap out the steering wheel on my Mk1 Fabia VRS for a Mk2 Fabia VRS or Mk3 Monte Carlo one. Does anyone know which will fit? Also which have the correct airbag wiring (if any)? Of course any photos of it done would be great too! Cheers all, Rob
  4. Nice one. That's my mind made up. Happy days! Now to get a set ordered...
  5. Hi all, I know this is an old thread, but I'm seriously thinking about getting a set of these. Do the LED drl strips get hooked up to the side-light function? My concern is that running with the lights on at night would be too bright with the LED strips as well. I think Audis switch off the LEDs at night - am I right?
  6. Hi all, Has anyone fitted the Gigaro 17" alloys from the MK2 Fabia VRS on the MK1? Can it be done? Quite like the look of them so fancy the change if possible. Cheers, Rob
  7. Hi all, I'm contemplating putting a set of Avon ZV5 tyres on my Mk1 Fabia VRS (205/45/16R). Does anybody have any experience of these? I do a fair bit of mileage, mostly dual carriageway and motorway. Cheers, Rob
  8. Hi all, Does anyone know the part numbers of the FABIA and VRS badges on the rear of the 2014 1.4 DSG VRS? I need one of each. Cheers
  9. Hi. Where are you located? Can't seem to see that on your profile from my phone...
  10. It has quite a kick to it. The ABS on my BMW bike isn't so lively. It was unexpected!
  11. Hi all, The ABS came on this morning I'm my VRS on an icy road in Perth. There was masses of vibration through the brake pedal and it felt as if I was going over a cobbled road. Is that normal..? It's the first time the ABS has cut in and normal braking seems fine. Any help gratefully appreciated. Rob
