  1. Good info shows it's worth doing a bit of research when looking for spares. Couple of examples I've found over the years. Leaking rear brake cylinder on Morris Marina. Nip over to nearest garage Ford dealer. Anything like this "yes it's for escort" No cross reference on any literature. Volvo 244 master cylinder dealer price silly so local spare shop Girling part purchased at a good chunk less. Removing old cylinder opposite side from the Volvo stamp Girling. So definitely research before parting with pennies.
  2. Amazing ideas in your youth. First provisional and car. This was the 60s renewed provisional every six months plenty of pals and family with full licence. Austin A30 padded rally seat cover Pico big bore silencer padded alloy steering wheel. It did achieve 70mph the day the air cleaner fell off
  3. Unless severe application of brakes required.
  4. Ignore previous correct numbers 384 375 in Yeti gallery. A senior moment apologies.
  5. Yeti gallery pics 383 373. Hope this helps interior colour appears lighter on my Acer pad.
  6. Jungle green and Gobi sand interior we've had ours just over two years now still loving it. Jungle green doesn't show the dirt very readily. Car had full Autoglym life shine inside and out on delivery easy to wash slightly damped cloth wipes any stains off seats. Best car yet and we've had a fair few between us. Enjoy whatever you get.
  7. A speed limit is just that a limit it does not mean you have to drive to that speed. Drive according to traffic conditions is what I was thought at Ayrshire Constabulary School. Now 70 and no driving offences
  8. Lighter right foot also helps fuel consumption.
  9. It may sound odd because of arthritis in both knees I opted for a manual as both legs are getting movement less chance of stiff leg at end of journey. I prefer to avoid motorways smaller A and B roads give more driving pleasure. Of course I'm retied and travel is not essential for work. Horses for courses.
  10. Hi I would go for service beforehand 500 miles is not going to make a lot of difference. Then anything that may upset your holidays will be seen. Cheers John.
  11. I would have it checked now would appear to be air in system. There is nothing more trouser messing than pedal to floor when you really need it I speak from experience fortunately did stop. This was in days past when I never paid more than £30 for a car that would last a few months.
  12. Carefully if the fitter has fouled electrical cable,I had nasty incident several years ago live cable from poor stereo installation being slowly sawed by throttle action once through the insulation centre wire of throttle heats up melts it's outer sheath then sticks wide open not funny. So worth a look in the foot well Cheers John
  13. Such a young car I would persist with dealer could be many things many moons ago getting a lift in a fiat similar noise the all quiet a few miles on woomph lots of smoke and flames starter had stuck on overheated and set oil in sump ablaze all got in time car totaled fire service sent to wrong place with similar name.
  14. Not decrying the engineering but shape looks same as every other maker prefer individual yeti shape.
