  1. I've heard people saying they can rotate the housing with it still on the car but not sure i believe that!
  2. Car now for sale - see classifieds....................................
  3. The Samco 90 elbow works well (i use one rather than the DS one on 2260) and gives more room...........however, ideally you need a longer one and clock the turbo housing one notch to give you more clearance..........................
  4. Kris used to be the mapper (for a number of years) at the massive diesel 'tuners' in Yorkshire......................so yes, vast experience and most importantly attention to detail and customer service............i've had emails off him at 11pm before..........
  5. That is a useful comment - I cannot sit quite as low in my mk2 vrs seats as my old ones; does not bother me though as i'm not 21 anymore and tend to sit like a normal person these days!
  6. Derv are good lads but try kris at dieselpowered he is very honest cheap and has previously been the mapper for the big players in barnsley for a few years.........mapped many standard and big spec stuff on this forum too........drop him a mail
  7. I will most likely get the engine mount also but deff not the vibra dogbone one as that will be a step too far! I have a Powerflex red bush in there that will suffice
  8. Updates: Felt a bit lumpy at low speed so had a look under the bonnet, rocked the engine with my hand and the gearbox end was slopping around like crazy! mount was foobarred so replaced it with a Vibratechnics mount from Awesome who had it in stock and is only a few miles up the road. It has made a huge difference the car is so much smoother on acceleration now - barely makes any difference to the already high amount of vibrations already in my car. A catch can was fitted to the rocker breather to stop the huge amount of smoke pouring out when at traffic lights! Next job is to fit the new rear calipers i have as i have a certain sticky one...............................house purchasing this month so the big nozzles and WON nitrous kit with progressive controller won't happen until later in the year now..............................
  9. Sounds like they have had the driveshafts out and not torqued the hub nuts up correctly
  10. Presume your talking about ##!!##h? nice guys there they have rolling road too. Try Kris at Dieselpowered (link in my sig) he does a file service and you can upload it yourself, and its well priced...........will be a map written by himself not a generic off the shelf jobbie.............
  11. sod water meth i'm pricing up nitrous kits at the moment - and researching progressive controllers. Seeing how much it reduces the soot by will be interesting. But, as said back on topic, waste of time unless your on a big turbo
  12. As mentioned a few times mate- kris at diesel powered was the mapper at darkside for a few years (arguably the biggest diesel tuner around) and is cheap, honest and will speak to you at any time of the day if any issues.
  13. Yes hindsight is a funny thing. We have all been there before but as kev said, it may well have been foobarred before it went there- but if they did quote 1.9bar for that turbo they have no idea about diesel tuning. Use Kris at Dieselpowered - link in my sig.........he does a file service for good prices then just upload the map yourself. Hope you get it sorted soon.
  14. John doesnt do remaps anymore- use kris at dieselpowered - link in my sig......
