  1. Coming from a previous generation Tiguan with the current 150bhp diesel manual which I found lethargic and only averaged around 40mpg ( as well as having to add adblue every 3k) and; still have a 120k mls petrol Octavia 2.0 vrs ( which still averages 40 mpg on a long run!) went for the 1.5 petrol dsg karoq and am very happy with performance and economy!
  2. I was riding with 35psi but still a hard ride. Letting a couple of pounds out made a huge difference. Not noticed a change in fuel economy at all
  3. Turn mine off so I can roll slightly down hill into garage and also very slow manoeuvres when you are inching in a tight space are annoying with autohold as it keeps kicking in and stopping the car then you have to overcome it to inch forward
  4. The Zee... yes the cx3 is a nice car but it I wasn’t keen on the off white interior option...not that I ever saw one in the flesh...so it might be better looking! At the end of the day you have to feel right about the car you drive...hope you get something that you like in the end!
  5. Womanokent - Petrol auto xc40 starts at 35k. Seat room in the back was fine and head room (with glass roof) a bit tight for me (6’2”) i was deeply unimpressed possibly fuelled by all the media hype about how good it is...then I suppose journalists don’t buy the cars the like the look of! The other really annoying thing was that the infotainment system was soooo slow.
  6. It’s always very personal when it comes to choice and taste...that’s why we are all different and there are different vehicles to have...all good! We had an interesting experience recently when choosing: We wanted something not too big/wide and not too small, Petrol auto, light interior (including facia) list started as: Xc40 epace evoque cx3/5 karoq The e pace and evoque were quickly ruled out due to the fact they are too wide for our garage (also pricey!) Cx5 too big and black inside cx3 too small and black inside leaving the Skoda and Volvo to test drive. As there is over 10k in difference between their prices I was expecting to be very impressed with the xc40 (current cars are a Octavia vrs and a Volvo v70 perhaps flavoured our choice too!) Took a while to find a Petrol of either to drive but first had a drive in a karoq 1.0 se dsg. Was very impressed with the refinement and ride quality-less impressed with the interior ambience. 30 mins later we drove a xc40 and we overwhelmingly disappointed with the very harsh ride and noisy engine and gearbox...wasn’t expecting that!! so bought a karoq Edition with a nice cream interior which fits our needs perfectly!
  7. I see! Thanks for clearing that one up!
  8. That’s interesting , I thought all ‘editions’ had the black plastic wheel arch addition because of the wider wheels?
  9. Offski...ours wasn’t actively for sale when we first viewed it. But the dealer was happy to sell it (obviously) . Dealer was first owner
  10. Cheers. think I got a good deal on the basis the car had some options and we haven’t had to wait 3months for delivery. I used car wow to get a base figure and that was matched. Offski...2000 mls ....and just going to check pressures now!!!
  11. Interesting stuff! mine was registered in March and picked it up today! No problem with anything. 1.5 dsg Edition ! Rides very nicely ...if a little bit worse than the se spec!
  12. Cheers. think I got a good deal on the basis the car had some options and we haven’t had to wait 3months for delivery. I used car wow to get a base figure and worked on that!
  13. Thanks guys.. vectis ...just trying to make sure the dealer doesn’t pull one on me and charge the first year ! So you just paid for the second year?
