That's quite possible, I don't know. The built in antenna worked in this case at least, I only needed an adapter from FAKRA to SMA.

I have navigation as standard, I switched from an Amundsen unit. I checked the specifications for the RNS310, and the blue FAKRA connector is the GPS antenna.

Hi, Do any of you know any details about the GPS antenna in the shark fin? I have bought an Android head unit which comes with its own GPS antenna, but would like to use the factory antenna if possible. It should be possible to connect it physically using a FAKRA to Ska adapter, but I don't know if the impedance, voltage and other requirements match. I don't know a lot about GPS antennas, so this might be a stupid question...

Could you use your car's GPS antenna, or did you have to use the one included with the unit?

I'll follow this closely, I only have an Amundsen unit and would like to replace it with an Android unit, if everything works as it should.

Finally got around to take some pictures of the result after the de-chroming. The trim around the windows has been foil wrapped professionally and I dipped the wheels myself. Some of the dip has already come off though, because if degreaser dripping from the fender. Will probably buy some new wheels when it's time to change the tyres.

Am I reading this thread correctly when I understand it as the Amundsen unit can be upgraded with a separate BT module, even though it has BT built in? If that is the case, is it just plug and play, and are there cables already installed in the car?

Hi, I tried to check which module I have, but I couldn't find it. I have a LHD 2014 FL model with the Amundsen unit. I have bluetooth media and phone. I looked under both front seats, but couldn't see it. Can the module be placed somewhere else? It's not under the carpet, right?

Are you sure you want them to "fix" it?

Did one side this evening. Think it turned out good. A few small pieces of adhesive left to remove still.
