    Read on another thread that WD40 on the locking mechanism in the boot resolved the issue for another user. Gave it a try and it seems to have worked!
     
    Took a day or two to work its way through but there was immediate improvement.

    Think I was just being a complete spanner but it turns out there was a loose section of exhaust which may or may not be related?
     
    It's all good now.
