  1. Thanks KeithFearnley and camelspyyder, not checked this page for a while. Coincidentally I downloaded CamerAlert the other day as I had to replace TomTom 1000 with a new Go 6100 as the new devices don't allow PGPSW cameras to be used, I agree CamerAlert is a good alternative and hopefully Apple lift their restrictions so the app can be further improved under iOS 9.
  2. Hello All, Sorry to hijack this thread but has anyone managed to get personal poi onto the Amundsen via the Skoda My Destination portal (http://mydestination.skoda-auto.com/?appVIN=&appLanguage=en-GB)? I have downloaded the pocketgpsworld speed camera files as .asc (having also tried .csv and .gpx) and they are uploaded successfully to web portal as you can see from picture 1, but when I try and save so I get the zip file to extract onto second sd card I get an error message (picture 2). I'm assuming it's something to do with file names and when I have .ASC in capitals I do get a zip file when saving but there is nothing on there that can be imported as a .vcf file I think into the Amundsen and also number of destinations shows as 0 unlike the examples in picture 1 where thousands are listed (eg mobile 7099). I know audio warning is not possible like on my tomtom PND but it would be nice to have a visual warning on the Amundsen, any help gratefully received as this is driving me mad. Best Jonathan
  3. Had Scout 150 in white since end of January, 17k on clock so far and been brilliant...winter pack was great on those frosty mornings and electric seats with memory function superb for my back. Boot size is unbelievable and just bought a nice boot liner from ebay for £32 as carry instruments and solutions for work. Updated maps last night and only downside for me is I don't think you can put the pocketgpsworld.com speed camera database onto the Amundsen (I stand corrected if it can be done). Had a variety of company cars over years....Mondeo, Astra, A4, 3 series, Outlander and Mazda 6 (which was my favourite) but I fully expect the Scout to take that crown. Yes you do pay a hefty premium for Scout (over 4x4 estate) but I love the chunky styling and the fact that it's quite a rare sight on the roads.
  4. As others have said, pictures don't really do brown justice but I like it.
  5. Have the Scout with the Amundsen and it's not actually bad and in-built display is great for convenience and I'm sure the Columbus is better too. However for me (sad I know) but I've now got my ageing TomTom GoLive 1000 on a brodit dash mount also primarily for pocketgpsworld.com speed cameras and also HD traffic which saves me hours per week when there are traffic problems on the main routes.
  6. Picked my Scout up last Friday from Rainworth Skoda and having completed 600 miles in it so far feel justified to make the following comments. From the first moment I was impressed with the dealership, easily accessible, modern, good size and facilities including the all-important customer waiting area and coffee. Prior to visiting Rainworth, I did visit another Skoda dealership (slightly closer to home) but the contrast was vast and Rainworth was always going to get my business if a deal could be done. I had already the decided the Octavia Scout was the next company car for me having seen a MK II during a visit to Switzerland in 2013 and subsequently researched it ahead of purchase as a new company car early 2015. With the improved emissions, 4 wheel drive and vast boot also a very practical choice for me. Kev Smith was my contact and when I initially visited spring 2014 there was little available information on the Scout but Kev answered my general questions as best as he could building my confidence in the Skoda brand. When information and a release date was finally confirmed on the Scout, again Kev was very helpful always responding to my email or phone-calls promptly. At the hand over, Kev did not rush me and went through everything I needed to know in a logical manner so that I had all the essential need to know information and could drive away delighted. Having owned Audi, BMW, Mazda, Ford and Mitsubishi previously, the service from everyone at Rainworth was first class and even just passing through the showroom you quickly realise it is a friendly team and everyone says hello which is often lost in this day and age.
  7. I have the 150bhp Scout since last friday and 600 miles in I'm delighted.
  8. Picked my Scout in laser white up yesterday from Rainworth. Attached are pictures from the valeting centre last week prior to picking up (saves my having to squiggle out number plate). Only done 50 miles so far but it's a lovely, refined ride especially over speed humps in my village.
  9. Great stuff mate and hopefully worth the wait for you. Enjoy, get mine friday touch wood.
  10. Hello lpt100, been told this morning by dealer my car should be arriving at Rainworth today and hopefully picking up next friday which is mainly down to my availability. Hope you get yours before the 21st.
  11. Mine's on the boat too lpt100 so hoping I should have it by next weekend with a bit of luck. No idea which boat though hoping for some more information from dealer in next few days.
  12. Wow my ordered Scout configuration is now £700 more compared with October and looks like the laser white I ordered is not available (looking at it on my iPad at least).
  13. Very nice BlackOut. Apparently my Scout is now at port and released for shipping so hopefully only a few more weeks for me now...very excited.
