[Superb 3 - power consumption is high]

I'm having the same issue. 

I did a 4hr motorway journey and the "power consumption high" msg remained. 

 

I regularly get low battery issues and struggles some mornings to start. 

 

My battery is the original Varta. 

My car is is 2019 2lr 4x4 

 

I did a battery test at kwik fit. They said it was 63% and said it was good enough. 

 

Should I just change the battery?

I got a friend with a VCD to "code" the battery.

However this morning the car struggled to start.

 

I phoned skoda, they said just to have a look (ie do a diagnostics) it will cost £130ph!!!!

 

WOW! Any ideas on how else I can get my car diagnosed?

Occasionally I've noticed the RED ALERT warning by the front collision warning system.

 

Does it also break automatically and in what conditions does it decide to brake?

 

I don't want to test it by driving into a wall for obvious reasons.

I got this problem when the battery went flat. Now this child lock error is constant.

 

The battery seems to grow weak by the end of the week. I unusually do a long drive on the weekend so it get a good charge

 

I had my battery checked.  Kwikfit said it was fine. So it might be a drain issue, but i dont see how that would cause the fault to show even after the battery has been charged.

Hi im getting the same issue on my wifes Fabia mk2 1.2 (2011)

Car was fine. Sent it for a service, now Im getting the red oil pressure warning light if I drive the car for a few mins.

took it back to the  garage, he says the there is no oil leak and says it might be the pump or the sensor.

If I remove the filter, will that mean all the new oil will eak aware and I have to refill?

Is there a way to keep the camera off and instead have the sensor graphic. I prefer the graphic to the camera

I got the same issue after the battery was low. Battery no longer low, but the child lock fault shows. 

 

I guess there's no easy way to remove it.

I've just bought a superb 2019 2.0tdi 4x4 

 

The mileage is 82k, the independent garage said change the belt at 120k. In my last skoda I changed it at 90k.

 

Is it reckless to delay changing it?

[Battery for Superb mk3]

I recently bought a 2019 Superb. Its 2.0TDI DGS with start stop.

 

I get a "Electric child seat" warning msg. I googled it, it suggests it maybe to do with the battery. I was getting "weak battery" msgs, but they've disappeared.

Any suggestions where to get a good battery from? I want to avoid Halfords.

You need access to VCDS and it is done in the long coding for module 77 telephone.

 

If you haven't got VCDS, there are members around Manchester who will help - check out the map in the VCDS and diagnostics part of the forum.

BTW Bluetooth unit is  "3C8 035 730 C".

I have managed without wifi but I would love to get it to work.

Is it the wifi menu you are looking in?

It may need coding, mine did, it wasnt set up for wifi... I had to change the last two digits to 0101 in the long coding.

[Got WiFi working]

Hi

 

Have got the WiFi to work using the 3C0 035 730 D bluetooth module. I am using the following coding "020000000100010000000101" the last bit seems to control the function of the wifi, although it isn't labelled as that in VCDS 12.12 will have to wait for an update for that. It took a while to get it working as the wifi option only showed up in the menu after I had coded it and left the car for a while.

Last bit of the puzzle to get working as I can now get data connectivity back to my phone while in rSAP mode to receive emails, use maps, etc. 

 

Many thanks to Ed for getting the shark fin fitted to my hatch, a huge pain in the arse compared to the estate as it turns out and for routing all the cables.

I have my rSAP working, but I dont see any WiFi  in the menu?

Do I need to do something to obtain that option?

 

Also what you mean when referring to the  code "020000000100010000000101". Is that something I can input somewhere to enable the wifi functionality?

I see on the menu there is an option to set the DATA, but not sure what that does.

Anyone know how to share the internet connection when you connect the phone using rsap?

My phone is a HTC ONE (m8) 

My car is a Superb  Elegance 2013.

 

The phone connects via rsap, but then the internet on the phone is disabled because the car has taken it.

 

Prior to this, I use to setup the hotspot on the phone so the passengers can use the wifi connection.

A question.

When you connect using rsap, it takes the phones 3G. Is ot possible to share the internet connection?

On journeys I would normaly set the wifi hotspot, but with rsap, the phone becomes unuseable, since the car has got the sim.

 

I looked in the manually, it talks about entering a name in data opton on the phone-settings-data menu option, but not sure ehat that means.

 

Any ideas?

Mine won't connect at all - "uncompatible device" - mine's a 2008 model though, so you might have something more recent and up to date.

 

Currently I have installed a 3C8 035 730 - can't see a prefix (although link to blurry picture below).

Sounds like I need to upgrade to the 3C8 035 730 D version.

Has anyone got an HTC One or HTC One Mini working with their bluetooth module - if so, what module are you using (which version) and what functionality have you got?

 

I have a HTC ONE (m8)

It works perfectly on my Skoda Superb Elegance..

 

It also connects with rSAP, which means the car becomes the phone and so reception/call quality is better.

 

 

However you lose data connection on the phone, because the car takes it. Dont know i the car needs it for any purpose.
