  1. I bought some cheap replacement electric struts from Ebay( £49.99 a pair) for my 2013 Skoda Superb Estate. Quite straight forward to fit. After replacement they would close, however, not open the rear door. What I hadn't done was disconnect the battery before carrying out the replacement. I therefore disconnected the battery and reconnected after half an hour. All now operates fine!
  2. The KESSY key on my car started misbehaving again! This time I was ready with a new fob battery when the car said "No key Found". New battery made no difference even checked it's voltage to ensure it was good. Incidentally I had also tried the second key which it aslo said it couldn't find. After hours of struggling to find help on the internet I ended up checking the fuses, just in case. I removed the KESSY fuse and after testing it which my meter confirmed to be OK. I pushed it back home. Low and behold the sytem then worked! The car lives outside most of the time and I presume the fuse contacts may have become corroded. Anyway relief! Now to crack on with the other problems, rear electric door struts begining to play up!
