Hi All.
Has anyone got a VCDS? I would like to rent your services. There will be a few beers in it of course. PM me if you can help me out. Many thanks.

Or a citrus pre cleaner.

My V60 Volvo where on permanently. I really don't have an issue with the way my new Octy behaves with regard to the lights coming on too early.

Balance shaft pump by the sounds of things. Very bad design and has since been changed.

This one is without bubbles and looks perfect for curvy areas.
I'm looking for alternatives as I prefer the car look without the OEM bumper protector and I'm pretty sure the OEM protector gets scratches sooner than later. Once the film or coating gets nasty it is fairly easy to re-apply.
Looks to me like there is a Mark on the bumper on removal of the film that wasn't there before application.

Try the following Products.

I'm a bit out of touch on delivery times now, but is April a realistic date to have the Octavia delivered by?
I ordered mine on the 1st of October. I got a phone call in Friday to say it will be available to collect from the 10th of Dec.
I was originally told week 3/2015

A lemon and a half m8. Last time it was at the dealers they had it for 2 weeks.
1 more full week of driving it then I'm away with work until the 15th.
Having had a Sharan and Tiguan with the cruise control on the stalk I can't see it annoying me.

Very very nice, I grabbed a dealer ghost order but had the pick of the bunch and a four week wait. Would have liked the ugly kid glass so I am thinking of getting that done next week. I was worried about the Amundsen after reading the reports but I am very impressed, its fast though of course the voice command is pants. I don't have colour maxi dot but I love the maxi dot with the sat nav directions etc.
The engine is sweet too. great choice buddy.
Thanks m8. After the 2 years I've had with my volvo v60 I'm really looking forward to getting it. Can't say I'll miss the V60.

Thats is great news, a proper Brucie Bonus. Where are you based? my car came in via Grimsby so if you are sad like me you can follow this link https://www.marinetraffic.com/en/ais/details/ships/355444000/vessel:SCHELDE_HIGHWAY and you will be able to track the ship going across and back again!
What spec did you go for? I picked mine up yesterday and have not stopped smiling yet. You will love it and its well worth the wait.
I'm based in Northern Ireland.
I've went for a 2.0 TDI vRS in racing blue with black pack, heated leather interior with red stitching, Amundsen, Colour Maxi DOT, Winter pack and Sunset glass.

Boy I'm one happy bunny. I ordered my 2.0 tdi VRS on the 1st of October and have had confirmation that it will be available from 10/12/2014 for collection. Unfortunately due to a work thing I can't pick it up until the 17/12/14.
This is a full month quicker than the original date of the 10/01/2015.
I'll be like a kid waiting for Santa to come now for the next 3 weeks.
-
Oh dear James. That doesn't look too good. I'm wondering if that is a VW thing? I had a Sharan that had the same issues in areas.
-
What are you making of the leather seats?
-
Yes I've went for the VRS TDI. My D4 was 163bhp and 400nm. The VRS is 184bhp and 380nm.
On first impression I actually found it as capable as the V60. It's definitely more nimble and a lot less body roll.
I'm looking forward to January and getting it out on the roads I'm normally on.
I can't see me being disappointed.

I'm in the last week of a 3.5 year ownership of a D3 S60, it's never missed a beat and is such a lovely car. Get my vRS TDi estate on Thursday and I'm very excited but I will miss my Volvo too. Btw I've never got less than 47 mpg out of mine.
I've never bettered 42mpg in mine. I've had a split diesel line, split air inlet manifold. Wearing tyres on the inside every 8000 miles, 2 non starts after a weekend lying up. A burst O ring groove on the diesel filter. 2 front hubs at 20,000 miles. 1 front bumper under warranty due to paint peeling and another in it's way due to the same issue. The list is endless.
My colleague has a S60 and his has never missed a beat either.
I really can't wait to get rid of the V60. Hopefully I'll fair out better with the Octavia.

When I get my VRS Octavia in Janurary I'll be moving from a very unreliable Volvo V60 D4. I think Auto express sum it up quite well.
"The Volvo V60's gearbox needs a firm hand to change ratios, and the heavy clutch takes some getting used to. Its heavy kerbweight is also its undoing in corners and the Volvo can’t disguise its greater kerbweight as it rolls in bends. The suspension bumps over rough surfaces, too, and never feels particularly settled at any speed.
The steering needs a fair amount of effort and the Volvo has a large turning circle. What's more, its long brake pedal doesn’t feel overly responsive."
And at 38mpg it's not what I'd call economical.
I've had an extended test drive of the VRS hatch and all I'll say is, it's a far more enjoyable driving experience than the Volvo.
Roll on week 3 of 2015.

I just replaced the whole number plate light housing, with built in multi LEDs.
Is just plug in and works. No errors and looks a load better.
Not cheap, but they are guaranteed. So no worries there.
Have you a link?

Benefits of the widget, jerry can stays in the boot. No risk of spilling it all over yourself.
