Please does anyone have a maintenance schedule for a Mk 3 Octavia 1.9 Tdi and/or a workshop manual (NOT an owner's manual) ?Tks guys

Bought a Skoda Approved second hand Octavia from Bristo's in late 2022. When I got the car hime there was no MOT document so I went online to DVLA only to discover several advisories on the MOT. Including 3 tyres near wear limit and oil misting on a shock absorber. Frankly, SHOCK was what I felt after paying top price for a dealer approved car. To be fair they did agree to replace the tyres and shock absorber "under warranty" but it did shake my faith in Bristo's and would hesitate to buy from them again.

I feared it might be the matrix. Are pattern parts OK or should I cough up for a Skoda part ?

Thanks - I remember now that worked last time. But this time it hasn't done the trick (I tried the procedure several times) Is there another programming fix pls guys ?

My heater is just blowing cold air. Last time it was fixed by reprogramming the electronics controlling the vents. Can't find the procedure on here in search. Pls can someone enlighten me ? Tks guys

Thank you - this may help others as clueless as me: Select CAR on the centre console. Then select the cogs icon at bottom right of the screen. Then touch the screen to scroll up and down the various settings. I'm ecstatic at also turning off the intensely annoying "driver alert" warning that pops up at random when I'm wide awake and not dozing off 😁

My 2017 Octavia Tdi suddenly lost its computer memory. I performed a factory re-set which brought back the digital speedometer display but the central locking now unlocks only the driver's door. There may be other functions missing that I'm not aware of. Any advice welcome please.

Thanks again. I've fitted an AGM battery just like the original so I'm hoping the car will "learn" it as mentioned in the guide sent on Frb 15

Thank you. No idea how to programme the battery to the car ! Does anyone on here know how please ? Hope it doesn't have to go to a Skoda dealer !

SORTED 😁Acting on good advice on here I went for an AGM start/stop battery. Very cheap at £124.99 delivered from GSF Car Parts. Only 3 yr warranty but does the job. BTW to avoid any issues in disconnecting the battery I connected the new one to the two battery leads with jump leads until I got the old battery out. Best to have an assistant helping to avoid shorting anything out ! Thanks again fellas

That's really helpful thank you

Thank you. I don't think stop start is any benefit unless you constantly drive in city traffic - which I don't!

Car is 2017. Will post pix of battery when it stops chucking it down with rain !
