  1. Hello kind Skoda owners again! I have been away a long time, but I am still using my Skoda Octavia L+K if you are interested A friend is looking at a Skoda Yeti 2.0 TDI SE (pictured below) and the advert says "DAB". Questions: does it really have DAB? if not, can it have DAB retrofitted? what is this infotainment system shown? can things like "Smart Link" be retrofitted too? Thank you, I am grateful for your time
  2. Could you highlight the clips, panels, etc. on the picture kindly posted above? Ta.
  3. I lay in the drivers side footwell last night (that it appears that the previous owner has kept remarkably spik-and-span), and I swear I couldn't see anything either like this, or space for this! Anyone know what it's from? Interested to know Ta.
  4. After going to a Skoda dealership yesterday, I've found this on the driver-side floor of my face-lifted Octavia Laurin+Klement. Is it part-of my car? Or was it attached to my foot as I got in? Answers here welcome. Or on an SAE to...
  5. Hello, I have to give Lister Skoda Coventry a gold-star for replacing the defective bulb. Proper customer service. Now then, VirginMedia, you're next but I'd imagine that you'll not be as customer friendly!
  6. Oh my word that is perfect. I'll consider my options, but I note know why I love this website and Skoda's. Thank you
  7. Excellent, but I still can't see where one gains access to the bulb, as they are completely enclosed to their rear of the side light bulb, certainly. There is no direct access port to the rear. I was I'd photographed it last night, but it was to dark. Darn winterness!
  8. Ah that is interesting, but alas the sidelight are wired in on my L+K. Hence the blooming annoying dash warning light being on in its place! Thanks though. I wonder whether they can programme the car to not use then in preference and also not worry about the blown one?
  9. OK, I surrender! How do I replace the side-light bulbs in my car? It's a face-lifted Skoda Octavia 2.0PD Laurin+Klement with the wrap-around factory-fit xenon headlamps with W5W side-lights. The manual recommends dealer only. I must confess to have popped out the unit myself, but given that the W5W is right a the very top of the unit, I can't see any rear entry hatch to gain access to the bulb :( Help.
  10. Yes, my Fabia vRS mirrors were raging hot, just like your Rover's. I'll have to see how these go as there may be a fault with the switch; I am not convinced that they always come on (10-minutes or otherwise). As for the seats, yes I can see what you are saying. Bit disappointing because as http://www.briskoda.net/forums/user/135971-vegasphil/ says, there are other cars that I've tried that really make a difference. These - if they really are working - are more a gimmick sadly as positions 1 and 2 are utterly useless! I think I'll call Skoda to see whether there's an upper heat limiter on them or something.
  11. Thanks for the information guys. So are the mirrors different on an L+K then? I take it that not only the cabin-mounted rear-view dims, but the outside ones do too? I've not noticed this. I'll extract the mirrors now and have a look in daylight. Cheers!
  12. Hello guys, As you may be aware, I've replaced my trusty Fabia vRS Mark 1 with a lovely 59-plate face lifted Octavia Laurin+Klement estate diesel. Thing is, I am of the opinion that the heated mirrors aren't getting hot enough as these puppies don't clear water of like my vRS did. They're really quite tepid to the touch, even after about 5-10 minutes. Equally, the heated seats just aren't getting hot either in my humble opinion, after sitting in quite a few over the years. Thing is, I an not technical enough to know what may be causing these things. Could it be that the battery isn't upto snuff? Maybe the alternator? Please let me know I am daft, and if you can help By the way, the heated rear window appears to clear reasonably well at the mo'. Can't vouch if the heated washer jets work yet, given its not been cold enough. Thank you.
  13. Hello guys, I have a Motorola Moto G 2014 (LTE/4G) phone, and a now a face-lift Skoda Octavia Laurin + Klement estate, 59-reg. My car certainly has bluetooth functionality, has the buttons on the MFSW, and if I press the dial button there's a lady that says that there isn't a a phone connected. 1). how do I remove the previous owners 3-mobile phone names that are still in there? 2). despite my car seeing my phone, as standard it doesn't get as far as pairing, instead the car grumbles and says the phone isn't compatible. 3). if I install trial versions of https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.android_rsap.BluetoothRSAP&hl=en_GB ("Bluetooth SIM Access (Trial)" by android-rsap.com), my car sees my phone, and then moves on to giving me my pairing code (something like "0000111122223333"). Having keyed all that in, it then ultimately fails again with my car complaining its not compatible. I've asked my local dealer to help, but if anyone on here has any further information or help, I'd very much appreciate knowing. Kind regards, Wayne.
  14. Me thinks my cars set-up is knackered then, total bummer :( Thanks anyway guys
  15. In that case, mine simply aren't working at all well. Anyone help me please? :(
  16. I did a 70-mile trip on 3-dots the other day, hardly noticed it was on. I've been in cars with heated seats before, and understand exactly what you are saying. I wish mine were both like that... oh well, fault diagnosis here I come... Thanks all.
  17. Thanks man. Hope your new vehicle is great
  18. Hi guys, My 'new' Skoda Octavia Facelift Laurin and Klement Estate has really weak seat heat from BOTH FRONT SEATS. It warms up a tiny bit on 3-dots; enough to make me think that they worked before I bought the vehicle. However, I didn't leave them on longer than about 2-minutes and it's now pretty obvious that they're not preforming fully. 2-dots is negligible. 1-dot is non-existent... a bit like a tiny kitten has lay on the seat for about 5-seconds, got bored, then ran off. Basically, I was hoping for more heat for my aged back in the winterness. Help. Me. Please.
