Ive had the fuel flap freeze on some of previous cars (mondeo and bora) but not on the octy so far. The doors and bootlid only freeze if I dont smear the seals with silicone or something similar.

Ive never had the fuel lid freeze. And where I live it can go from 5 degrees and rain to -15 over the night.

I have 18" summers and 16" winters. Its quite a difference in comfort. And you feel it quite much when cornering fast. Not a big difference in acceleration, but I have a 4x4. Braking is hard to judge, because of the difference between snow and asphalt. And I dont want to step on brakes on asphalt with studded tires.

Doesnt the brand new audis (A4 and up) lose the perment 4x4 now? They are also fwd untill they need more traction? Just like haldex. Supposedly to save a few drops of fuel.

A collegue of mine went from a MK2 octavia to a 2016 A6 Allroad 3.0 TDI. He said he was surprised that bootsizes was almost the same given that the A6 is so much bigger. And he complained that the a6 understeers a lot more on snow. But apart from those things, he was very pleased with the car. And it is a really nice car.

My current speakers are Dali Concept 6 as fronts, Dali Zensor vokal as center and Zensor 1 as surrounds. I wont do extra soundproofing in the walls, right away at least. But will put up something to keep the sound from reflecting of the walls.

I can get up to 500mbit internet connection(cable), so speed is not an issue. I like how Denon sounds, have one at the moment in my 5.1 setup. Denon and Dali is a good combo in my ears. And I prefer the Audessey room correction over the one Yamaha uses. And its not really relevant, but I hate how Yamaha and others lists the power output. 6ohm, 1khz and one channel with heavy distortion. Thats just plain misleading.

Cables will be installed. Im just trying to decide where to put them. And I still have to check if ceilingmounted speakers is possible. But a new amp is priority number 1, since my current amp doesnt support 4K.

Anyone of you fine folks with home theatre experiences? Im moving to a bigger flat in the autumn, and I will then have a 5x3m room in the basement to build a mancave. And Im torn apart regarding 7.1 or Atmos. I will probably buy a Denon AVR x3400 wich can do 7.1 or 5.1.2. I have speakers for a 5.1 setup. Any input?

Do this. Many have had problem updating because of the files a Mac puts on the card.

I have the same experience as flybynite and norsko. Oilconsumption is minimal. Never had to fill a drop between services. And I do lots of short trips, with wintertemps as low as -15 deg C.

Please share what you find out. Would love to get a mib2 unit in mine.

The engine is availble as a non-vrs 4x4 DSG here. So naturally the vrs tdi didnt sell very well. The TSI vrs do sell a bit better, but its still uncommon. Octys here are either the version with the smallest enigne or the 184bhp tdi/1.8TSI, both with 4x4. And its quite a bit of Scouts around...
