  1. Hey all, I have tried to do this but when i look at the original value, it's completely blank. Now i'm stuck, has anyone else had the same issue? Thanks
  2. I had no 068 and i wish i still had it, excellent car and wish i'd kept it. good luck on the sale!!!
  3. My mk1 vRS WRC, mk2 vRS and mk2 FL vRS have all had Cold Air induction kits on them and none of them have sounded throaty (air sucked directly into turbo so you dont get as much engine noise) like my previous NA cars however what you you do get is more Turbo noise and and audible woosh as the recirc valve recirculates the air. Not as loud as a Dump Valve but still noticeable. All 3 have actually sounded like Daerth Vader!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! which i actually love but defo not throaty.
  4. If your doing 33 on a long run i would suggest thats not right, as above on long runs most people above are getting 38 - 41. hmmmmmm
  5. Was this on your dashboard or worked out with maths etc?? On my dash on my pre FL vRS TFSI, i used to get 40-42 on a long run and 30-35 around town (obviously i was driving sensibly , cruise @ 70 etc) On my current FL vRS TSI i can get 40-44 on a run and mainly about 32-35 around town. But remember the dash is inaccurate compared to properly working out the figures
  6. What are you looking for? as they are recirculating valves! are you actually looking to get the blow of sound/TSSSHHHHHHH. If so you will need the blow off spacer which is relatively cheap from Forge and it bolts to the OEM valve think they are about 40-50 quid. If your not looking for the sound and just want to replace a broken/faulty OEM valve then get an OEM one, just the latest revision! Other members might know of different makes. I had the Forge Valve and spacer on my previous TFSI and loved the sound as i'm a child like that however its not to everyones taste lol Ross
  7. Most of the company's that are spoken about on here are all pretty damn good but you will find it very hard to beat the customer service you get from Ben and his team at Shark Performance!!!
  8. My 10 plate FL vRS doesnt do this when driving using normal throttle, however it does when I am using cruise and i go down a hill, you can feel slight braking to maintain the cruise speed.
  9. I loved it on my TFSI, I just havent got round to fitting it to my TSI. It's a real marmite mod you either love it or hate it. If you get excited by that specific noise as a car goes past and have to look to see what it is then you'll probably love it however, if you hear that noise in the street and think "****" then its probably not for you lol. I had a Forge on my WRC that you could hear through the Carbonio intake and it was mega loud and had old granny's duckin for cover then i had the spacer on my Pre-FL and i have to say i love the sound. If that makes me a "****" then so be it, life is short and it makes me happy lol
  10. If its an actual whiring/droning noise then i would bet on 1 of your wheel bearings going!!
  11. Yeh i spotted the auto express thread after however it had different pics to the Autocar one, as for the other ones i havent seen them.RossM, thanks i havent seen that video yet
  12. Autocar magazines website has some pics of the new vRS going round the ring if anyone is interested :-) Ross
  13. My MK1 vRS WRC had the foglights in the main headlight cluster along with the xenons and full beam. Maybe they will do that again!!
  14. MOT Mannie, Make sure those current theiving scumbags in Aberdeen don't fekin nick it lol, i still have love for 68 :-), they seem to be nicking performance cars, told my Dad he needs to be carefull with his White FL vRS. A Friend in Northfield told me a White Octavia had been nicked, so i'm glad to see your pics on here. Ross
  15. Great bit of kit for the price, well made, easy to fit never had any issues with it when i had my motor. Plus the price is good too Ross
