  1. Still having intermittent fault despite replacement control module. Due in for replacement light clusters on wing and hatch.
  2. Just had the same problem with my 2021 SEL intermittently affecting Passenger side tail light LEDs. Diagnostics by dealer referred to Skoda as being fixed under warranty. Skoda have recommended replacement of a control module. Dealer is less certain and thinks it may be a faulty light cluster. Control module has been replaced so time will tell.
  3. Returning to the Skoda Siii fold after 2years with a Land Rover Discovery 5. The LR Discovery takes the award for the most unreliable vehicle I have owned in 43 years of car ownership. Hoping that Superb hatch 2.0 TSI is as reliable as my previous Sii and Siii.
  4. Manual 150 4x4 estate here. I have been very happy with the 150. Have driven the 190 and did not feel it was as flexible to drive. There did not seem to be a lot of difference in power but the 190 seemed to be less eager to pull away. Have never lost grip with the manufacturer fit Pirellis but that’s the benefit of the 4x4.
  5. Did you have it fitted by a SKODA dealership or a specialist company?
  6. Just my S3 valeted/detailed and now looking better than when it was bought.
  7. Just had the S3 valeted by meticulous.guru. Stunning job, car looks better than the day it was picked up from the showroom.
  8. It’s a fit, use once and forget addition. I gave up on it on the first attempt. It does have a very irritating side effect, the side sensors go off all the time.
  9. Don't make the mistake I made on a previous car when I used the internal dimensions of the back of an XC60 to order a cage for the dogs and couldn't get the cage in. The crucial measurements may be the door aperture to get the cage in and out.
  10. I totally agree having driven both. The 150 TDI is the smoother and better drive.
  11. Don’t think it’s available on the SIII. A clumsy workaround is to use two memories, one to allow easy access and one to drive. I know a colleague who did this.
  12. Sounds like you made the same selection as I did. The black 3T alloys look great on my black SIII estate. Hope your 19”alloys come off easily, mine seemed as if they were welded on. Advice from a former breakdown mechanic came to mind (“needs a well placed kick”) and worked!!! The Goodyear’s are directional tyres so make sure you follow the rotation indication on the tyre (covered in the instruction leaflet with the wheel set from Mrwinterwheels.
  13. Just put a set of winter wheels on my 150tdi 4x4 L&K and running well. Bought them from https://www.mrwinterwheels.co.uk/index.php?pcode_from_q=Y&pshort=Y&pfull=Y&pname=Y&pkeywords=Y&search_performed=Y&q=Superb&dispatch=products.search&security_hash=77134c63656c6bb0620f6fa23571ab4e&features_hash=11-964 Got 17”x7J with Goodyear Ultragrip Perfect Gen 1 215 55 17. Worked out cheaper than 4 x 19” tyres. No mounting kits or spacers needed as correct fit and alloys are apparently TUV checked for winter and SIII.
  14. My iPhone 7 and my wife’s iPhone SE are not the most reliable in BT connection to our SIII or Oct3 (my2018). Both will drop off and are slow to connect. Connecting the SIII to the iPhone 7 for internet is poor. Works fine with a Sony Android phone. I have put put it down to Apple.
  15. Winter rims and tyres ordered and on the way for fitting after weekend.
  16. Guardsman seem to have one for the Superb III estate with panoramic sunroof from their illustrations. https://www.guardsmandogguards.co.uk/product-category/skoda/skoda-superb-estate-mk3-2015-onwards/ I have also been looking for a guard and divider as we are getting a second dog. Up to now have been using a single dog version (half size) of the DT3 from dog transport box http://www.dogtransportbox.com/product-category/estate-cars-jeeps/. We also use a travall guard in our Octavia. But travall don’t do one for the S III estate with panoramic.
  17. Last week switched an XC60 for a Nov 17 Superb III estate 150 tdi 4x4 manual, Black with black interior, panoramic sunroof, towbar, Phoenix (ant) 19” alloys and spare wheel. Amazed how much more space in the SIII and how much difference the DCC makes.
  18. Thanks, spent some time going thru old posts as opposed to the search I had used and found the information needed. In short, need to get new alloys and winter tyres. Thank you
  19. I have just got a SIII L&K 150 4x4 estate with 19" Phoenix Wheels (235/40 R19). I have a set of Skoda Spectrum alloys (7Jx16, ET 45, 5x Pitch 112, Centre 57mm) from a previous SII . I was wondering if these alloys can be used with the SIII. The tyre sizes for the SII and SIII differ significantly so a new set of winter tyres will be needed. But the old tyres (6mm on each) can go to my wife Octavia III for winter use.
  20. Faced similar dilemma, new xc90 at an attractive discount, new kodiaq 4x4 190 at a small discount or a 4 month old superb l&k 4x4 at 4K Miles 30% below new price. Choice was easy, the superb.
  21. Well got to see the car today prior to checks and valeting. All seems present and correct. No signs of abuse, shocks etc ok. Tow bar unused. V5 indicates SKODA UK as first and only owner so looks Ok. I did check the spare wheel bay after advice from El Dingo and can confirm that no additional protection fitted by previous user. I am looking forward to getting the car next week but will have to learn how to wash it as it is Black Magic!!!
  22. Thanks for the advice. Looking forward to seeing the car which has yet to arrive at the dealership. From the limited details available it represents very significant savings on new and has some nice extras. If it’s half as good as Superb II I had before I will be happy.
  23. Given the number of “ex-management” cars available from Skoda U.K. and other VAG brands I think all their staff must be using multiple vehicles (? One for each day of the week). Annual and quarterly sales figures for the motor industry must be as accurate as milage and emissions data.
