  1. Probably advisory, I’m curious to know, though. There’s no number of days shown. Service is on a variable scheme and should certainly not come up after 10000 Kms. as this car only runs longer distances and no urban short ones. That’s what I got the Seat for. And it’s time for first equivalent to MoT here as well, three years after purchase. Don’t expect any remarks.
  2. No more info on display and nothing found at neither manual nor service plan. I do suspect rum4mo hit the nail. Could of course ask at the shop. Or just wait for next regular service.
  3. -warning is displayed. Anyone knows what THAT means? Service was performed 10k kms ago. Ive absolutely no desire to pay a couple of hundred €’s to be informed that the brake pads are OK.

    “Inspection”-

    - meddelar min display. Någon som vet vad det innebär, till skillnad från den service som genomfördes för 1000 mil sedan? Har ingen lust att betala tusenlappar för att något verkstad skall titta på bromsklossarna o meddela att dom är OK. //
  5. That link works just fine. Try again or deactivate whatever you got that prohibits accessing.
  6. Dont know for the recent Fabia as mine got all the bells and whistles available but VAG USED to offer a new stalk and upgrading software to achieve ACC at something like €150 if it wasn’t present. No doubt that a new stalk is needed but I’m also convinced that the rest is there hidden inside the CPU. Just need a kick in the a**. Srvice and upgrading is a theft these days.
  7. Disable the start/stop. Does nothing but destroy your battery prematurely.
  8. Occasionally the stiff steering can be felt on my Seat Ibiza but only at longer motorway drivings and after a good distance spent. My best guess is that it’s related to the electrical power steering going into a light “sleep mode” if not activated beyond a certain point as it’s progressive. Shouldn’t occur, of course and may be blamed on inaccurate sensors - or a software bug - as suggested? It doesn’t bother me, though. My Skoda isn’t affected.
  9. Well, izzat Essy? Think I’ve got exactly that, key needed for unlocking but from there it’s the start/stop button. Never understood the keyless system. Suppose the engine doesn’t start without pushing something? I certainly wouldn’t buy a car unlocking just approaching, one may have an errand causing passning the car. Or would Kessy know what you’re up to?
  10. Roadnoise has very close connection with tyre brand and model IMHO. Well, not only IMO. A bit on the subject http://www.tirereview.com/the-fight-against-tire-noise/ I won’t recommend any as tyre models available on the British market probably differs from the Scandinavian.
  11. No measurable consumption at all. I’ve owned VAG cars since the early 70’ties and have no memory of any with notable oil consumption, maybe a dL att occasions for the 1,6 l early Passats.
  12. The handbrake has always stuck on my VAG cars since decades. Drums or discs. Consequently I never leave the car on the handbrake over a period but stick it in 1st or reverse. If on a slope with the front wheels turned inwards.
  13. Must be as headlight washers are compulsory in some EU countries and has so been for decades.
  14. Difficult to compare performance as my Fab is the 110/6 speed and the Ibiza the 95/5speed but generally the three-pot will be a bit louder and generate some more vibrations as the four-pot. Which shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone.
  15. Not exactly, but I’ve experienced the radio just not being there and some other quirks. Works again after having the engine turned off. It’s all in the electronics....
