    Hi,

The error is not showing anymore.. What exactly did you replace? Maybe this was a freak error.. Will have to keep a tab on it.. Even when the car was serviced at the Skoda workshop, there was 0 errors on this.

The error will flash and go away but will show in the log. So if all you hear is a beep, you can be sure it's the lever.

  2. It's the selector lever. I had the same issue. Had it replaced and the car has been troublefree ever since.

Getting this error as well. After clearing its come to this below error. Strange it just popped up open. Car is about 1 year old. Happen to catch this on a normal full car scan. Don’t think this has anything to do with an audio install which uses a in line audio adaptor to the stock HU for DSP.

  3. I too had this error on my car. At first I always thought it was just a beep but then it caught my eye and flashed. The flashing happened randomly but I got it to my dealers attention everytime it happend and had him note the time and odometer reading. That way he was able to confirm the flash was an error when he logged the car in on his ODIS.

Replaced the selector switch assembly and so far have clocked over 3k Kms and its all fine.

  4. The guy is perpetually online every fifteen minutes but refuses to read and reply. My texts were basically to get him to give me a few minutes to atleast discuss and come to an amicable solution. Anyways, lets see what the outcome is on waiting. Not that I am expecting much, since he has already tried to make me keep it.

I have sent him a short email asking for him to help solve my problem. Lets see.

  5. I would like to share how I have been cheated by www.cars-equipment.com

I spoke to Mr Vaclav at cars-equipment and told him specifically that I wish to place an order for a paddle shift steering for my Octavia 1.8Tsi. The model number was also noted and discussed with him in detail on email prior to my purchase and he said he will take care of it and ship it as soon as I confirm.

I made the due payment and this is how it went:

Took almost 2 weeks to confirm shipment shipped. Took a total of a month to reach. And then I get the wrong part sent to me. I ordered 5E0419091AF CWE.

What he sends me is 5E0419091AF MBJ. The difference is button layout, lane assist button, which my car doesnt have and white back lit, which is green in my car.

Upon telling him all this, he gives my stupid reasons and then finally says he doesnt have time for all this and is asking me to send back the wheel for a refund.

  6. Hi. I bought  new 1.8 Tsi. Within the very first week of ownership, I noticed a weird white color grease like substance dripping and smeared all under the car and inside the engine bay. It was even present in the insides of the front fender.

No one at the service centers were able to give me a proper reply. One gentleman said "Its Chassis grease". Now whats chassis grease and why have I not seen this in any other vehicle or Skoda before?

    PLease help.

  7. Cleared it. Got it running again. Went to basic settings and clicked norming. Probably what it means is reset. Seat moved all the way front and then back with the up and down and then gave 7 faults with respect to all motor callibrations. Hit clear fault codes. And did a rescan. No more errors. Unplugged vcds, switched off car, loced, unlocked and re did the steps to scan for codes all over again. Memory seats are back and work ok. No more fault codes.

  9. Hi. Recently I just happened to notice that my seats have lost memory and I cannot store memory to them also. The adjustments work fine all way around but when I press any one of the three settings I had stored, nothing happens. I am also unable to set a new memory. No tone.

Checked infotainment unit to see if i can check seat memory with key, unable to highlight that option too.

    I have a 1.8Tsi Octavia III
