I have recently purchased a Fabia 1.0 DSG Monte Carlo. Very pleased with it however I have a couple of issues; The glove box does not come with a light although it has the aperture for one but the light itself is missing, odd for top of the range model. All my previous Skodas (Octavia and 2 Kamiqs) had lights, I thought all models had illuminated glove boxes. Skoda customer Services advised that it cannot be retrofitted. Do any owners have experience of this? Grant R

Hi All, Well vehicle has been back to dealer for 3 days, but unable to replicate the problem. I even drove with technician but couldn't get it to judder when reversing or when coming down from 2 - 3. Got it home reversed into car park and there it was - juddering !! Looking at other owners experiences it looks very much like clutch pack and/or mechatronic unit. However I guess dealer won't want to replace anything until it is properly diagnosed. After all they will want Skoda UK to pay for it. Has anyone else out there had any experience of this issue? Thanks for the responses. Have been into dealership (3 nails in tyres !! one repairable and 1 new tyre) They were very helpful re DSG issue. Offered to take vehicle in for a couple of days and drive it to try to get fault to occur. I will drive it with technician initially also. Hopefully it will reoccur. Then we might get to the bottom of the problem. Will let you know outcome. Grant

Hi, Thanks for the response. No the dealership just "checked it out" but couldn't replicate it. I intend to take it in again soon. The problem is it doesn't always do it. I'm concerned it will get worse.

Hi Guys, I hope someone might be able to help with this. I have a 2023 Kamiq 1.0 DSG SL Executive bought new this year. Initially I had no problems then the DSG started to shudder in reverse and also between 1 & 2 gears. I've tried a reset as shown on Youtube but it is still happening. The supplying dealership cannot find anything wrong. Any thoughts? PS I've had Octavia DSG new - 130,000mls, Kamiq DSG new - 18,000mls. with no issues. The previous cars were just very smooth changers, this problem is really annoying. Grant W

Hi, I have just picked up a new (built Dec 2022) Kamiq. Very pleased with it, however this car is exhibiting the same problems as my previous Kamiq MY2021 in that the navigation destination is not being received by the car despite portal confirming it has. I contacted Skoda Technical Support in 2021 but they could not solve it at that time. I've contacted them again this week and am waiting for a fix. I know it's not a major issue but It seems incredible that such a large organisation such as VAG cannot fix this. Has anyone else out there ha d a similar experience.

I purchased a Skoda Kamiq SEL in February 2021 part exchanging a Skoda Octavia 2.0 Diesel DSG. I set up Skoda Connect and all was good. I used the app to send destination to car and all went well until after a few months destinations although it stated "sent to vehicle". It worked intermittently until failing altogether. I've contacted Skoda Tech Services on many occasions but although they acknowledged the fault persists. Has anyone out there experienced this fault ? Grant

I have a Skoda Kamiq purchased new February 2021. Initially the sending destination via MySkoda worked fine from my mobile and laptop. However, it soon started to play up, sometimes working sometimes appearing when I had actually reached the destination, and now not at all. I have been in touch with technical services many times who were not able to resolve the problem. It does seem like pot luck your car either works fine or has the problem.

My new Feb 2021 Kamiq started off by accepting destinations from my phone, then became intermittent and finally stopped accepting destinations altogether. I have not changed any settings. When sending to car phone message states "sending to vehicle". However on starting vehicle satnav opens but no destination is shown.

I have the same problem. Bought car from new in 2014. No probs until 2019 when I got message Light Assist Fail. Dealer replaced sensor which would work for a few weeks then fail again. 5 sensors fitted. Skoda Technical does not know what the fault is and I was offered a goodwill gesture after complaining vis Skoda UK CEO.

Octavia 2.0 tdi dsg 2014 After 5 years the Light Assist has failed. Dealer has replaced the sensor 5 times, all 5 failed after a few 2-4 months. Skoda technical have suggested replacing the wiring loom (at my expense). Has anyone out there that has had similar fault managed to fix it ?

Thanks, yes it is Light Assist. Worked fine from new for 5yrs then failed. Dealer has fitted 4 replacements, all have failed within months of each other.

My 2014 Octavia 2.0 Diesel DSG Elegance has Smart Light Assist. It worked perfectly for 5 years then failed. Unit was replaced under Warranty Direct. However it failed again and was replaced by Skoda under parts warranty (2 years). After a few months it failed again. Skoda Technical Services cannot diagnose the fault. Skoda will not replace the unit again even though it is under 2yr warranty. Has any one out there experienced similar problems?
