Ask lugosy, he directed me to a good website in Slovakia that has new parts

ha, i'm far too ignorant to let this go by the wayside

yeah....so I have neglected this pickup for 9 months at the very least, stupid house decided i had to knock some walls and fit a new kitchen....in june....which i only finished on christmas eve...BUT! i spent an hour or two on her today...enough with words, i'll leave some pictures here
-
nice looking machine! keep up the good work
-
Its sickening the skill those guys have for fabrication isnt it! Wish I had a tenth of the skill, tools or time that they have

had a sick day today...so i did what anybody would've done...got up at half seven and went straight to the shed with a hot cuppa tay!
felt like i was neglecting this a bit but i have been busy! anyway I am now up to three pedals mounted and working as pedals aswell as a steering wheel in position and working, however the adjustable function has been removed because racecar.
this is a caddyru accelerator
and this is my modified clutch servo
this however is a little close to the downpipe hopefully a bit of heat wrap will stop ant boiling of the clutch juice
i've got about 15-20mm from the heat sheild to the down pipe in any direction
the three amigos
kept my brake servo on the passenger side to make a bit more room
its the standard caddy master cylinder which has a bigger diameter than the impreza one but is shallower so i'm presuming they're about the same volume and aren't gonna give me any hassle, i can use either brake servo because they both fit so i'm gonna go with the caddy one and swap them around if theres any issue.
this is the rest of the hydraulic clutch....pipework seems a bit long for me so i'll be shortening it back a tadand the subaru handbrake is ready to mount back on too

So after a track day in mondello I have decided to convert this to rear wheel drive, the awd system is just too unpredictable

Well...that is a read and a half, took me two hours to get through the lot. I have to say that this is an absolutely incredible feat so far. A running theme it seems through this topic is everyone bugging you to get this finished...looks like they're wearing you down a little bit, I have to say though if my truck is this far on next year I will be quite happy. Best of luck with the rest of this project, and dont let the meticulous detailing of this become comprimised, half the fun is in the build!

I think any skoda truck going quickly is enough of a surprise for anybody :-)

When this is over I may have to lay down a gauntlet and come over for a track day or something, loser buys the pints :-P

God dammit, the least pages you have on any of these is on an electric car... I don't think we can be freinds if you're gonna be cooler than me and have fun with more cars than me :-P
-
...I do like a patina look but rat look just isnt for me, worn out looks cool but you can tell the ones that have been made to look that way

Ha, I was about to read bossfox's thread but im still at work and the 90 pages is just a bit much :-D working away today so I might just settle in the hptel bar tonight and have a nosey :-P
-
Sounds roughly correct, but i've been toying with Matt faded looking reds and getting a faded workshop like decal on the doors. Think I may just stick to getting some work done on it and settle with whatever red thing I've found at the time :-D

Not sold on blue, been looking at every shade of red for the last year, at the moment I have a hotwheels car I bought specifically for its colour thats winning..thats not the strange thing though, we also have a spare kettle and a lamp that has no home because they were nice shades of red
-
And that colour has been a topic of debate for some time now, people either love it or hate it, but I think it sticks out a bit much for the direction the project is going
-
Definitely a turbo! Te finished product of all this initially will be rocking standard wrx power on plain mk4 golf alloys, just to be a sleeper and get through re-registration and the likes. Then when I cant surprise anyone anymore I'll stick some nice pokey alloys on and start my hunt for more power!!!
