    I've now sorted it, I removed the headlamps, took off the positioning motors, removed the covers & gave them a good dose of (I use Asda Multi-Spray) spray cleaner/lube & then gently blew them out 
    with the air line. Put it all back together & after sorting themselves out they work a treat. The worst part of doing this job was as someone else suggested, making sure the adjuster was screwed out fully
    before putting the motor back in the lamp, that meant on one of them, I was sat down with a small screwdriver turning the armature until the gear wheel & centre piece was flush. Job well done.

    Oh, right, I saw a video on YouTube where someone was using a laptop & the VCDS system & I thought he was adjusting through the computer.
    I think I'll wait until the job is done & see how it starts, sounds & pulls.
