Shortly after buying my new Superb Combi in May 2015 I changed the wheels from 18s to 16s and bought 205/55/R16 Cross Climates. I had gone 750 miles. Just replaced them today with same tyres at 34,500 miles for £327.00 fitted, all inclusive, from Blackcircles. As a pensioner I feel that they have more than paid their way.

June 2015, at 750-odd miles from new, I changed from 18” to 16” with Michelin Crossclimates and have to say the major improvement in comfort was instant. Didn’t notice any noise problems. Now done just under 31,000 miles and the front tyres are nearing their end, so will replace before winter really sets in (if it ever does down here in East Kent!).

When I got my new 2015 Elegance Combi I of course had the standard 18 in wheels/tyres. It took me 700 miles to change to 16 in + Michelin cross-climates. My back couldn't thank me enough! Comfort over looks every time for me, though the perfectionists on here may disagree!

The one house liable to flooding, down by the river, has now flooded :(
As a matter of interest, which house is that?

The paper should be recycled, not burnt or sent to landfill.
How can we help VAG protect the environment if you are also so irresponsible?
(I'm using mine for bog paper)!
Bit harsh, isn't it? Reminds me of Bronco and San Izal!

No, not him - he tried to stop the sands

Most succinctly put.
And one does wonder what will happen in the next French Presidential election. I recommend, as a light Xmas pastime, Michel Houellebecq's novel Submission, both hilarious and terrifying.
It is of course not surprising that voters no longer trust the old establishment. And even if Jez Corbyn seems to be a likeable fellow, he's probably not PM material. But that's hardly sufficient for explaining Trump's poll results. It seems as if Marco Rubio is the only Republican that can threaten Clinton - but he trails way behind Trump among Republican voters.
Just bought the book on Kindle. Looks good!

If you think back to your learning to drive you 'should' have been taught to leave enough room between you and the car in front to be able to pull out of they break down. There is no legal ruling on how far.
That's while in motion, though

My 15 reg Sll Combi is Pacific Blue, and I love it. Really enhanced by SS door handles and SS GB letters on the rear with a non-EU number plate!

I was a Flight Cadet at Cranwell in the late 60's, and our sleeping quarters were near the main runway. One night the senior cadets were due to practice night flying in Jet Provosts, but there was ground fog. To find out the height of the fog they called in a Vulcan from Waddington which flew down the runway and as some sort of a joke stood on its tail just level wih our huts. WOW - Armageddon!

What i really like with Pfizer is they are stand up guys and girls, there to 'make you happy'.
I hope they really invest into Ireland and they are planning extensions and many many erections into the future.
Yeah, until they flopped in Sandwich, which is where their most famous recent product was developed, and left 2,500 employees seriously down!

The theme from The Great Escape. Put it on 6 months before I retired from a large German insurance company.

Stuart,
often when the Service Campaigns are done, if a Dealer Calls the parson says 'Recall' but seldom do letters get sent,
and not guaranteed to be any contact made with Registered Keepers.'
I know this is an unholy mess, and you posted on a Sunday, but when did the Church become involved?

The ECB is, apparently, going to stop buying the loans that back their leasing, financing and insurance.Yes.
I've just phoned Skoda UK and they are insisting that they have no idea if there are any cars at all that are affected

I know it's the Wall Street Journal so US and suspect, but try googling VW+European Central Bank - it's got pretty wide coverage

We left Andover 7 years ago, but Station Garage up by the railway station (I wonder how they got their name?) used to be very helpful and inexpensive. Tel 01264 351344

Nice and level too.......
Junctions are generally a favourite for these pricks, but middle of a road on a bend also works...
This is the same junction as last picture....... it's within a mile of one of the 2 police stations in the county and on the same road. Staff call to report, a couple of days later they 'might' turn up.
What a load of pr*ts!

When I got my Superb 3 months ago I found that the 18" + rubber band combination was too jarring on the roads around here so I changed to 16" + Cross Climates. Obviously I haven't tried them on snow and ice yet, but dry or wet they have so far been great. Very limited experience (only around 3k miles to date) but I would recommend.

My service is with PlusNet. No problems at all ~50mB download, 13mb upload. English call centres (0800 number) . Strange really cause they are a wholly owned BT subsidiary.
Recently, after I bought a new router & couldn't get it to work, I phoned PlusNet Tech support & they called me back & spent a good half hour talking me through the configuration. Brilliant service.
Been with PlusNet now for 14 years, and always had brilliant service from them. Moved house several times without probs, and for the latest move I signed up to their landline service as well. Long may they be able to act separately from their owners!

Not driving, but stationary at Sandwich railway station this afternoon waiting for daughter and grandson. Guy walked past from the rear, and as he passed my window he said "Love the car" and carried on.
Yaaayyy!

No, no, NO!!! If you do leave it with a Dealer for anything, put signs up all over the car saying you don’t want it done, and take photos when handing it over. They have done the fix many times without the owner’s permission, and refuse to reverse it. See Facebook page “The Volkswagen Diesel Customer Forum (Emissions Scandal)” for a lot more info.
