  1. Today i took the car to the mechanics and changed the fuel filter and the timer belt. Made them check the gear oil, they added one liter as they claim.

The gear had some jerky shifting at times, and still the same after topping the oil. And the gear had some jerky shifting some times and disengagig at low temperatures in the morning (sometimes, not always at 0.8 rpm and at full stops) and reconnects the second u press the gas pedal a little, and after driving for a minute or two, it will not occure again after that.

  2. Greetings and salutations everyone.

I hope someone can help me with my issue:

When driving at at fixed speeds (fixed pressure on gasoline pedal) the will be some lost in power for a second or second two and then back to same speed, and it is pulsating (like its has a fixed time to keep occurring).

Same thing when i accelerate, for a second or two it decelerate and then back to acceleration.

Its been there for a while although I have changed my spark plugs and clogged injectors (they needed changing and hoped it will be solved), but still no change at all.

Thank you in advance for everyone.

    Merry Christmas!

  3. Yeah - for some strange reason they decided that if you move the drivers side mirror that the passenger side will need adjusted at the same time (guessing it's for different drivers settings) and then you have to re-adjust the passenger side mirror to get it back to where you wanted it.  Total PITA

So I understand from you this act is normal?

Haven't ever noticed it until my sister drove it and told me about it  :D

Thanx mikec, now i can remove one point from the list of repairs

  4. Thanx Arminator, appreciate your time. My car also is LHD, but it's not the same issue.

It locks and opens every time, no loosen parts as mentioned.

It's only when i use the the keys in the keyhole (manually locking it), the rear left door receives the signal twice (locking twice).

But when locking from inside the car using the lock button on the door control panel, the rear left door receives the first signal as lock, then another signal to reopen it. So all the car doors are locked at this point, and the rear left door is the only one open!

  5. Rear left door acts weirdly when locking and unlocking.

When locking the car using the control panel on the driver door, all door locks including the rear left on, but then directly unlocks.

And when i lock the doors using the key from outside, i can hear the rear left door is locking twice.

Any idea of how can i make it act normally how can i identify the problem.

    Thank you.

  6. When i want to adjust the side mirrors, the following occurs:

    - Knob is selecting the left (driver side) mirror, both mirrors (left and right) will be controlled together.

    - Knob is selecting the right (passenger side) mirror, only the right mirror moves.

So if i need to adjust only the left mirror, i am obliged to adjust the right one after the left since it will be screwed.

Any idea on how can i fix this?

    Thank you.

  7. I have 2000 Skoda Octavia, and the window clips (used to be green) keeps breaking with minimal use for all windows.

And in my last repair at the workshop, it EXPLODED while driving, and heard it shattering everywhere inside the hollow door.

Its costing me around 20 euro per door (only for this clip and service charges), but there's no point in fixing them if they keep on breaking.

Can you please help in how i can fix it once and for all? replacing the clip with something else? Or maybe another system that can work in my car that doesn't fail that much?
