  1. Hi guys, I was wondering could I fit DOTZ Hanzo 8.50x18 rims (and tires that goes with them) on my Yeti? I have 2011 - 2.0 TDI 81 kw 4X4 M6 Yeti (will be remaped to 140bhp maybe). Right now its on 17 inch rims. The car is 80% of time driven in the city. Rims: http://www.dotzmag.com/en/wheels/hanzo/specifications I would want to fit 18" Hanzo rims. But searching for informations about rims that fit the Yeti (here) I'm not sure could I fit them (beacuse of Offset ET and width). It says that Yeti can fit rims 44-50, but Hanzo rims have ET30 and are wider by 0.5". So could I fit them easily (I would do it in Skoda service), and by easily I mean just mounting - no additional work needed to be done? And what tyres would go with Hanzo rims on Yeti (comfort)? I imagine it would like in the picture in attachment? THANKS
  2. Sadly, I may have to go to the official Skoda service. Day after I replied here, another warning light pop up on dashboard. So now I have warning light for EGR and warning light for Control system for exhaust. I quote owners manual: "The warning light [SYMBOL HERE] comes on after the ignition has been switched on. If the warning light does not go out after starting the engine or it lights up when driving, a fault exists in an exhaust relevant component. The engine management system selects an emergency programme which enables you to drive to the nearest specialist garage by adopting a gentle style of driving." Well ****. What now hahahah
  3. By blanked off do you mean putting metal on valve hole or ...? Could it be done the other way around, just software fix, no touching egr? Yap, the DPF and EGR are seriously making me decide for petrol engine next time.
  4. Hi everybody, I am having a bit of problems with my Yeti. It seems that EGR valve is dead. I had a warning light come up while driving (3x) and at the Škoda service they said that it was EGR system reporting a error and that it needs to be replaced (whole EGR system - valve, cooler, etc.). Repair is expensive since (in a way) I get nothing from it. So I went to check for another solution, and I think I have found it, so I am asking for your advice. I am thinking about blanking of EGR and doing a remap (110hp to 145hp) at tunning shop in my country (SM Chip tunning). They offer me a good deal, a remap and EGR problems resolving for price that is 30% cheaper then just replacing EGR at Škoda. So for the almost the same money I get more. Thing that bugs me is that EGR fault. They said, and I quote: "We can permanently shut off EGR." Now I read that there are more then one way to deal with EGR (or shut it off), software fix, removing, some put metal plates etc. But the outcome is the warning lights. I want to fix this and never again have a EGR warning light or something like that. What do the mean when they say shut it off? So my question is, what is the best way to "shut off" EGR so it does not make any problems later or warning lights flashing? I don't what to pay for all of this at tunning company and still have limp modes on or warning lights flashing. Also, I read somewhere that tunning compaines do not "fix" EGR when it's already broken (or something like that). Like they can't "shut it off" if the EGR is faulty, only when it's ok. Is that true? Prioritety is resolving EGR fault. Skoda Yeti 2.0 TDI 81kw 4x4 manual, 111.200 km on the clock Thanks in advance.
  5. Filled it today almost full, and still the sound is there :(
  6. No buzzing noise when unlocking the car, or opening the driver doors. Also no buzzing when giving contact. Hm possible. I don't remeber the last time the fuel tank was filled more than 25-30% of the tank. I often keep it about 3 lines above the red lines.
  7. Thank you all for looking into this topic, and for posting your thoughts. I asked other Yeti owner about this, and he said to me to check does it buzz when unlocking the car/opening drivers door or when I make contact before motor ignition. I will test it tomorrow first thing in the morning and post the results here. I am sure that I didn't heard it before on my Yeti. I also had Octavia MK3 for some time before Yeti, and as I recall, she did not make the buzzing sound. Greetings
  8. Thank you We have first generation Yeti 2.0TDI 81kW 4x4 M6 Ambition in Cappucino Beige color. Yeti is one of the most fun cars do drive to me But mine favorite is the secong generation Superb (2008 pre facelift). Could watch that car all day and night, and still be excited as I was first time I saw it in magazine. Magnetic brown color, 2.0TDI 103kW, beige interior, aaaa perfect for me. :cocktail: Thank you very much
  9. Thank you for your time to reply But I could not hear it before, at least it wasn't that loud? Is it something serious, or ...?
  10. Hello guys, Fist of all I am sorry if I broke some forum rule by posting this topic, but english is not my native languange, so I could have missed something. Well then, I have a problem... I am driving Škoda Yeti 81kW 4x4 M6, with Ambition equipment. Yesterday I noticed some buzzing noise on my car. That day I drived a rather quiet and slow (60km/h), out of town. So I do not think that my problem is caused by my driving. The buzzing sound can be heard when I am outside standing next to the car. When I am inside of a car, and if I turn off everything (radio, clima, ...), and if I am somewhere where is quiet, I could hear that buzzing sound, but it is very silent. Normally when driving I do not hear it. I hear it when my car is stationed, and turned on. So I parked my car, and left it running. As I could identify it I think that the buzzing sound is coming around the place of right rear wheel (passenger side). I hear buzz sound only when the car is running. When I turn it off, there is nothing that could be heard. I did not noticed any effect on the cars performance or handling. But I am beginner, so I could have missed something. Also noticed, when I try to raise electric window (drivers or passengers) the buzzing sound gets a bit quieter for about 2 seconds, and then it continues as before (whether I stop or continue to rise the window). I made two videos so you could have a bit more info. Video #1 - Car is parked and engine is running. You can hear buzz sound even before I lower my phone to the bottom of the car. Video #2 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GJ_a9VvN6ZM Parked and engine is turned off. No buzz sound. So far we have done 68065 km. Yeti has been always serviced in official Škoda service in my town. I would like to figure out what is the problem before or if I need to go to the service. Thanks in advance, and cheers!
