  1. Hi

You cannot code them on all occasions, you have to have a specific controller in the car, the basic one is not enough. Don't ask me how to separate, which car has or has the advanced controller.

I found this on up! owners club forum: 'Hi. You can't have everything! You are limited to what the controllers in the car are capable of. Cornering lights and comfort window functions probably won't work as the cent elec controller is basic.'

  2. The Up! for the Brazilian market has always had the larger front end and wind down rear door windows on the 5 door models.

It's also registered for five persons to sit and thus have 5 belts. It's bit longer and has a partly metallic tailgate like Citigo, instead of glass one and does have indicators on side mirrors.

  3. Alternatively, it could be, that the battery of the unit is low on power. Are you sure it gets enough power at your computer, trying other port might help. You could try other power sources aswell, if you have different USB chargers and leave the unit there for few hours. And finally you could leave it charging at car while driving, if all these other things aren't succesful.

  4. S&S also cuts seat heaters and many more heavy duty users (aircon for example) while in action. It doesn't cut indicator leds for those though, so you might think that they are working.

  5. Hi,now im just going to get straight to the point with this,as ive looked at all the specifications, reviews etc for the citigo and vw up!.

I like the vw up and skoda citigo, their both very fun little city cars, but im torn on the looks and price, since ive seen for a base model vw up you can get a skoda citigo monte carlo thats 3,4 years old, which is very good for the money.

With all the added extras you receive  with it (black alloys, tinted windows, nice interior  and a low insurance group, which is want you want for a first car.)

And i know there the same exact car underneath, but i dont know which to go for.(and i like them equally btw)

(i do the like the one with a 1.8 audi quattro engine in though, which would look and go great in a monte carlo version  :D )

Have you asked this on any up! forums? You may find different opinions there. But seriously, you did make your mind before you asked, didn't you.

  6. Not very uncommon fault then. My up!'s (oct. 2013) auxiliary belt was found cracked at my cars first (15 000km) maintenance and was replaced for free of charge for obvious reason. Has lasted since (now 37 000km driven), maybe there are (were) some known problems with the belts?

  7. Garmin dropped the female voice from the PID in some update in 2014 and since it haven't been available any more, and not selectable in the settings. You have to find a correct voice file and copy it to folder called Navigon/Sounds (yes, there is a folder called Navigon in Garmin unit). I have done this and now have the option to select female voice as well. Mine is Finnish so no use for you though, but you may ask the file for some one who have early Garmin unit and not have updated it (eng-GBR_Susan_sound.nfs). The file is much smaller than male voice file, and reason is, it cannot announce street names.

There is a English up! forum (up! owners club) which may be helpfull if you search there and ask for the file.

Many seem to forget that Citigo's, Mii's and up!'s, which come with start and stop technology, have sturdier and stronger starter motor and battery than car's without s/s.

  9. Hi

I am about to take delivery of. Mii by Mango (to pair with my daughter's Citigo SE) and swotting up on the PiD - I have downloaded the PDF manual.

I see you can play music from an SD card (but the manual is silent in this regard) any tips on how to configure the music files on the card? Can I set up playlists etc?

    I am marginally IT literate!

    John

    Hi

If I remember right, all files should be under Music folder. There you can sort your music like: Artist/Album/tracks or as you like. No playlists I'm afraid...
