Excessive build-up of dust on rear of III
Happycatphil replied to anotherdownunder's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk III (2014-2021)
What is this 'dust'? We only have mud in blighty. Could dust be dried mud? I guess we'll never know... -

17" wheels are great! I cannot tell any difference in the ride from standard and they look correct IMO :sun: -

I've only just got my dealer to agree to contribute as I was on holiday, then Kate, then him! He's on my side and trying to get Skoda to pay as much as poss. The Mib is on order though! -

I too am enjoying driving the the car Mick, it's a little cracker! The thing is, Skoda should have had an upgrade path for early adopters as they clearly did not launch a finished product. At very least a paid for sat nav option should have been available. After a lot of table banging, my Kenwood Mib is on the way and having seen one working its very impressive. We don't all want or need tech in our cars, but false and empty promises was not the way to get sales from the ones who do. :sun: -

I have now given up with the xperia z3 compact (supposedly one of the two phones that work) as the connection was so unreliable and have raised a case with customer services. They made me quietly laugh when they asked 'what would my expectations of an outcome be?' to which I said hmmm swap the car for a new one? ok he said I'll put that down.

No way accept the Garmin, they are £30 trade, we need a better solution. Maybe they could get a bulk trade deal with Pioneer. -

Yeah I'm liking the car too Kev...holding my breath! I had a look at the Pioneer solution which has been around since 2012! Skoda could have easily offered this as an option. £300 - £ 400 though! -

Tsk.. it bothers me that they don't even see it as an issue as if we are annoying flies. Mind you, enough midges can ruin your day! -
apparently Sygic does work but not very well. It wouldn't be such an issue if a) Sygic was competent, b ) it was a reasonable price and c) you didn't have to change your £500 phone for another £500 phone to use it at all! The compatible phone list is ridiculously restrictive and the app isn't good enough. If Skoda had reckoned it wasn't broke they wouldn't have fixed it would they
