  1. Hi, Just upgraded from my Mk1 Fabia aka Leaky Linda. After thinking my troubles were over with the water leaks, i tried to open the passenger door - its been fine all the time but today I couldnt open it. Before I go ripping off door linings is there any setting that could cause this? I opened it from the outside and it was fine, then lifted and closed the outside leaver a few times and the inside started to work ! Thanks for any advice. Andy. PS; Where do I bet my first water leak will be, as I passed on the fish from the other car to the new owner.
  2. After a damp patch on the headliner and seeing that the rear drain pipe from the sun roof was badly kinked I thought I may have resolved the water leak. With the snow today, I noticed that the water is running from the back of the roof cut out and it's dripping over the Black sun roof assembly, near to the silver torx screw in the picture. I am going to double check all drain holes again as things have been ok up untill now and this came about suddenly. Any pointers please?
  3. Sadly no small of screen wash, although I will double check. I am sure it's rain water and I think it's sun roof. But just can't get to bottom of it with certainty. Door carriers and threshold are dry so think that's ok.
  4. Any help one this one please? my rear passenger foot well contains water, although there is no water on the cill. I did the door carrier seal a few years ago. So this may be an issue I need to revisit? The main issue is the roof liner. A damp patch started at the rear drivers side corner, and its crept towards the door pillar. I have checked the drain holes from the sun roof and they look to be free. I have sponged water on the sun roof, antenna and could not see water coming in. I put it down to condensation but now think its a water leak. During the rain today, its that back corner whats getting really wet and dripping. Can anyone suggest where else I could look please? On the roof there is the black channel that contains a small covers for the roof rack. I have never used a roof rack but do the black channels give issues? Its started very suddenly this damp issue so I would have thought I would have seen something obvious by now or water pouring in when I was testing. Thank you for any help information.

  6. I will check antenna. It just looks like single bolt underneath. Is that correct? The antenna is a bit perished. Any idea where I could get a new one please?
  7. Thank you. The head liner under the antennae is dry. I had initially thought of that. I am going to clean the rim of the sun roof to ensure no serious leak. I assume the sun roof is not totally sealed and that a little water can be accomadated and be drained away.
  8. I have my fabia mk1. 07 plate. Yes it's had the water leaks so I sealed the door carriers etc. Despite condensation I have got to like my car. The other day when reversing however, I noticed a damp patch on the roof liner near to the corner of the rear pillar. I pulled the liner down and there was condensation on the metal roof and the liner was like a sponge. Suspecting the drain off the sun roof I checked that they were secure and free from blockages. As it was so damp I went when it was raining expecting to see water steaming down somewhere but nothing. Could this just be the amount of condensation ? I still suspect the sun roof in a way? Can anyone offer any help please.
