  2. Sorry yes wiper stalk .... I have since figured that it is the module mentioned above. I took the one of my 06 VRS and put it on the troublesome 07 SE and everything worked perfectly. @Wino if you still want the damaged module feel free to message me and ill be happy to send it to you. Thanks for everyones input and help! Greatly appreciated.
  3. Morning fellas... I have the module out of the car and im trying to trace wires.. Does anyone have a wiring diagram of the wiring from the indicator stalk to the module? Im not too savvy with wiring especially when blind. I have 12v at the fuse but only 5v at the wiper plug. Any help?
  4. Ahhh its the one above the throttle pedal im reffering too! I have got the names mixed up LOL my bad. I have a know working unit of a breaker car of mine so i will give it a try, if it works once coded i will send you my broken one @Wino to do as you please with if you like.
  5. Hi matt, Thanks for getting back to me, I was really hoping it wasnt gonna be the CCM but unfortunately i believe it is after the umpteen amounts of testing i did yesterday. Luckily i have VAGCOM so i can do all the programming etc myself. Thanks again!

  7. I purchased #414 last night from risca in wales! As far as i can see the cars spent it whole life around the south wales area. 150k on the clock and in very tidy condition!

  9. Bloody long winded proccess that would be as the car only smokes when been left for a long period of time. Do you know of anyway to test the injectors without sending them off? I also forgot to mention that my engine temp gauage very rarely makes it to half way, sometimes will sit on/just below the quarter mark. I really do appreciate your input. This has got me stumped!!
  10. Cheers for that, ive got some diesel purge on its way so gonna give that a whirl and hope for the best. That is 1 thing i forgot to mention, my mpg is terrible. 30mpg IF im lucky.
  11. Yes ive done a compression test, it came back fine && how would i go about bench testing the injectors without sending them off and it costing me a fortune? Ive tried to search for a sutiable way of testing them but havent been able to find one. I have done my own camera test which involved me removing the glow plugs and with a small camera look into the bores to check spray pattern, all 4 injectors sprayed the same, BUT i am unable to find what they should spray like to compare. I have a picture & video of my injectors spraying if thats any help. *id need to upload to youtube as im unable to attatch on here.
  12. Evening all. I have a plume of white/grey diesel smoke on first startup and its lumpy for a few seconds. Now its not blue, its not white for water and its not black, it stinks of diesel and when i say plume i mean imagine a steam engine (maybe not so bad but you get the idea), for about 2/3minutes when starting. This has been getting worse and worse over the past 3 months: So far i have done (here goes): -Head off. -New fuel filter -New airfilter -New glowplugs -Turbo seals and shaft checked (No wear) -Cam & buckets checked. (No wear) -New darkside valve stem seals. -Valves & guides were checked. (No wear) -Injector #2 replaced as EML shown fault and had awful surging on boost (new injector fixed problem) -New injector seals fitted using vag tool. -New head gasket -New manifold gasket -New inlet gasket -New rocker gasket -New engine temp sensor -New steel braided Turbo oil feed -New headbolts, inj bolts etc -Elephant mod -New 505.01 PD oil -Bores & Rings checked (No wear) Even after doing all of this the car is still smoking on start up and is lumpy for a few seconds. Few deets on the car: Engine: PD160 BPX Mileage: 142'*** I have the lite version of vagcom BUT although i know my way around a set of spanners i really have no idea how or what to do with it. Id really really appreciate any help or advice on this, im at my witts end !! Many thanks in advance!!! Apologies if this is in the wrong section? Please move/advise.   13. Afternoon! A very long shot but does anyone have a valve spring compressor that I could use to do my stem seals? I can't seem to find a G clamp big enough anywhere! I'm located in loughborough, close to nottingham, leicester, derby, Hinckley, Coventry. I ordered one from the bay of E last tuesday but seller messaged me this morning saying he was out of the country untill next Friday so it won't be posted untill then. Would be a huge help if anyone can help out! Cheers !

I was struggling to find someone to flash my stock map so I got myself a laptop and mpps cable but I'm struggling to get it to work on the laptop, I spent all day yesterday trying to get it to work but it kept showing an error due to missing DLL files. I managed to sort that after about 11 hours of trying but now I'm getting "problem" on the- run new, testing exe.. box and it will not open mpps. It's frustrating the hell out of me as I feel now I've bought a laptop etc for absolutely no reason! Waste of time and money! If anyone has any idea how to fix this then I'd be hugely grateful. Many thanks.
  15. And this is exactly what I'm trying to do chimaera, currently on the look for someone who can flash my stock map as garages want rediculouse amounts. Gissin I'm not sure if you have read my reply, the turbo has been taken off, cleaned and inspected. There is nothing wrong with the turbo. I've never had limp mode and there are 0 fault codes. The reason there was no codes posted is because there isn't any showing up.
  16. I've inspected the turbo and as far as I can see it's spot on. The turbo does spool but (as I've understood it) the actuator is open not allowing any boost to build untill the car reaches X amount of RPM which is when it closes producing boost. I've had the map file looked at by a fellow forum member who knows what he's doing and to put it simply it's horrendous which explains a few running issues including the lack of lag up untill 3k. Appreciate the reply!
  17. Morning Everyone, I've been having a huge problem with a seriously bad map on a car I bought last week (Map was already on the car) The map has been looked at and deemed, rediculous. My question is, is there anyone who could flash my stock map back onto my ecu for me? I have the file. I don't mind a little road trip and can provide a fair amount of your favourite tipple + a pack of your favourite biscuits. I'm located in Loughborough, inbetween Nottingham and Leicester. Garages and mappers around here want the same price to flash my factory map as they do to give the car a full remap? Many thanks In advance
  18. Evening all, being a fabia VRS owner aswell and having nothing but crappy comments on the other forums i thought id post this for the fellow briskodians to see. Firstly I'm unsure of this has been posted in the right place if not admin please remove or advise where to post it. Right here goes, I'm in need of a second opinion on an issue with my ibiza cupra pd160. I bought the car last week and instantly noticed a shed load of lag before boost of any kind. The car will not pull any boost untill 3000rpm and is a little dangerous when pulling out as it's completely flat untill 3k then it goes AWOL untill just over 4k then drops off again. Now the guy I got it from said it was mapped by a local guy but I have no proof of this (Big mistake I no) but the way the car behaves says it's got a bad map on. Now today I've gave the car a once over to check everything, all boost pipes are tight and sealed, egr is clean and tight, fmic is in decent condition with no holes or cracks, I did a Mr muscle clean on the turbo and the actuator moves as it should. My question is has the car got a bad map or is it likely to be something else? I don't have vcsd or access to it atall but I do have the original factory map and a copy of the map that's been loaded onto the car. Is anyone on here able to read the map if I was to send it over to see if everything is set correctly (unsure if this is possible) or if anyone is able to flash the original map back onto the car. It was intended to be my daily but is proving difficult having absolutely no power before 3000rpm. Thanks in advance !! (A picture of the car is attached, it had a seatcupra.net sticker in the window so if anyone knows any history of the car id be very grateful)

Ive had my car for just over a year now, It was on :148k when it was mapped :152k decat/Mrectomy :156k FMIC /Hpipe kit :161k mapped again (mapped the fmic etc in) (Amongst other handling/breaking mods) Now at 169k, Never had any problems atall, it runs and drives brilliantly. I have no history what so ever with my car other than a hpi report and a logbook so no idea when/if turbo and clutch have been done, this didnt bother me though as my plan is to stage 2 it anyway so turbo and clutch will be replaced and my views where well if they go a naker then it just means i can stage 2 it evan sooner . Oh and that i no it is an ex-police car. Just my 2 ecnep worth
