  2. Cleaned the seal on the sunroof as you said. Seems to 'not leak' at the moment!

Also got the rear light unit replaced.

Put the 2 front tyres (fairly new-ish) on the back, and replaced the other 2 with new tyres on the front. All four balanced and tracking done. Car now drives beautifully, no vibrations, no pulling to the side.

Also replaced 2 of the exhaust hanger rubbers which has got rid of the annoying 'clunk' as the exhaust middle box hit the car floor.

All in all I'm very impressed with it as a little car. Very economical too.

  3. Been for a long drive today, car seems OK. Some vibration through the steering wheel, and some drips coming in through the sunroof, comes in just in front of the interior light. Simple fixes I hope.

The toolkit looks completely unused, but am baffled as to what the two rubber straps in the photo are for?

Also have the neat boot light that doubles up as a torch, only found it today!

Also checked the carb, looks clean to me.

  4. Just bought a Favorit yesterday, some quick photos of it for you to see. I may need a few bits to get it 'up to scratch' - I'm looking for a read light unit - smoked/tinted type, right hand side, and also a door rubbing strip, driver's door. If you can help, please let me know.

Also, how do I set the 'TESLA' digital clock near the rear view mirror? No sign of any buttons on it!?

    Thanks

  5. Just got a favorit today - GLXiE Flairline 1300.

Only questions I have after a 60 mile drive, bringing it home, are:

Where can I get a replacement offside (drivers side) rear smoked lamp unit?

Where can i find the knob that controls the headlamp height?

How do I set the digital clock that's mounted near the rear view mirror?

How do I turn the rear wiper on?

Going to give it a full service soon - engine and transaxle oils, all filters, plugs, leads, dizzy cap and rotor arm.

Am guessing a plain 15w40 oil is ok for the engine, what about the transaxle?

Is there an online link to an owners' manual?

    Thanks in anticipation!

  7. Hi, just bought a favorit, wanted to escape the clutches of expensive and complicated cars and fancied some back to basics motoring for a while.

Picked up a low milage Favorit GLXiE.

Not going to win any awards in it, but so far so good.

Hope to pick up some tips and answers to questions on here as I go about improving the car a little.
