  1. Thanks for your input gents. I can't help thinking that this is not good enough from skoda. I tend to think it might be as one other person said, it's transference of noise from the suspension into the cabin. I'm going to approach the Skoda dealer about this (after lockdown) and maybe demo another Karoq to compare. My car has the not so low profile 16" wheels so I thought that alone might help with the noise. When I test drove the car it didn't have a spare wheel but when I took delivery they had changed the foam insertion kit for a full size spare. This really surprised me as I hadn't asked for it. I'm going to see if there's a difference with the wheel removed as I can't remember the noise when I did the test drive. The conundrum continues!
  2. I have just bought a 2yr old Karoq 1.0 on 16" wheels. Same issue. I've seen other threads complaining of the same problem. My car also had the Bridgestone turanza's.... I plan to speak to the Skoda sales manager. See what he says. I doubt he will be off much help though. I find the resonance most annoying.

Thanks. That is my suspicion too. That is the suspension rather than tyres. I'm afraid to try driving another Karoq in case it doesn't sound so noisy but I want to do something about this. The possibility that it is the tyres I have doubts about. And buying a set of Goodyear's or whatever in the hope of a solution is an awfully expensive risk. I have to take the car into the garage next week to get a small part replaced so will ask what they think about it then, but I expect them to dismiss that there is a problem at all. I'm within the 30 day exchange period but doubt I could afford any of their other 2nd hand Karoqs.

I would love to hear an update on this topic, or some pictures of the sound deadening in the boot. I've just bought a 2018 1.0 manual se nav plus on the 16" Bridgestone turanza's. The low rumbling noise is quite annoying. Prevalent on rougher surfaces.
