Well, i worked in the Showroom.... but did spend a lot of time with the techies in the workshops.
I got on well with the people i worked with but it was just how money focused it was all becoming!!!!
I now work all over the country on the roads testing them so you guys don't go skidding off for no reason! When i get a little more inside info on road condition i'll let you know what roads are best!!!!

Hey people, its been a while, I now no longer work in the motor trade (Was getting to me) but i really enjoyed the time i spent at the Skoda Dealer i worked at.
Not a lot has happened to my Skoda since you last heard from me but a service and a little air con problem that cost me 15 quid to fix (not a recharge and probably the worlds cheapest aircon fix ever!!!!).
I have recently purchased a new Pipercross induction kit for my little 16v and it now sounds like a monster! It roars! I'll try and get a pic online for you guys to see and maybe a link to a sound file but i'll need to find somewhere to host it!
I'm currently thinking of perhaps buying a new car (its gonna be a long way off) after a new motorbike (my current 125 is on ebay atm) so i gotta lot saving to do.
I have been keeping an eye on Briskoda and tried to keep up to date
Is anyone else working on a 16v just wanna know what can be done to them since i last checked.

Those of you who can't be botherd to read the manual try holding the key in the door lock in the unlock position, if you have factory fitted elecy windows, its a great way to cool the car down without having to get inside! new octy's & surperbs are remote! Great for showing off!

If you want the easy route then go for 17", they go straight on no rubbing and catching with 205/40 R17 tyres they don't put the speedo out to much either.
Because i decided on 17" i don't know how the car will react on 18". The wheels and tyres i put on feel gd, have improved the handling, reduced roll and road noise seems to have dropped to!
Mine still needs lowering tho, how far to go is the question!!!!

Ah, just read this thread! I've finally put 17" alloys on mine, I was shocked to find that they just fit! No rubbing or catching they just fit!!!!! Pics soon!!!

P.S. Sorry i've been gone so long!

Lol, this sounds like a meet!!!! Would be very funny to watch. Never under estimate the power of the SDi, remember the tortoise and the hair!!!

Watching that was the high light of my day. Great fun! They should do a feature every episode and pitch it against other similar cars like they do with other models sometimes Nos jag vs. Ferrari etc., if i remember right they were both about

No rear Touring Car spoiler!!!!!!

I saw them with logo's aswell but Fuerterventura was awash with superbs!!! Thinking about it there were a few Octavia's too.

Just returned from a Windy, dusty and Wet Holiday in the Canary Islands (Please don't ask, apparently it hasn't been that bad since 1958 ).
I Don't know who else has been there but the amount of modified Octy's and Fabia's about was quite good, some with Touring car spoilers etc others a little more subtle. Also 50% of the taxi's out there are Superbs, the other 50% made up of Large Mercs.
Wasn't quite expecting to see so many.
If anyone does go please do a quad excursion..... F%$*ing awsome!!!!!

If you look Closely you can see that the front and rear discs are the same size, obvious photoshop tomfoolery... would be good tho for a project, please some one do it, and transplant a vr6 lump in the front hehe....

It's been no problem for me, just I don't get the warnings that i'm running out of space. I run a tight inbox (That could sound dodgy).
Still no videos of any skoda's then going a lot faster than anything else (Trying to keep on subject). Any vids of your track days and such like?

Why not, if your not happy, vote with your feet. Although I hear they have now got new management now. Good luck in whatever you decide.

Generally do these improvements get incorporated in 'the next build series', or do these things get batched up to the next 'revamp' version?
From what i've noticed (Especially on New Octavia's) the cars are always being tweaked and modified. You've gotta keep a check on these things. One touch indicators on the fabia is a good example, they just came out of no-where, which is no bad thing.

Well, there are a few out there, have a look on the site and see if any of the other Dealers come rated.

Sorry if i've touched a nerve.

I'd say the fuel computer is a a problem as you will need a whole new dash unit (doesn't really break into bits). Not too sure about traction control, both probably can be done but the cost of doing the jobs is probably enormous. It costs about

I have recently purchased a standard Pipercross induction kit for my fabia.... except for the lack of 3 jubilee clips it is great, the noise is awsome! I hope it gives you some insite to what the viper kit is like.
