  1. @thboffin I've replied to your other PM, but yes it's still for sale.
  2. It did come up well after being treated to a full external / internal valet
  3. @Babs Yes the car is still for sale @neilybs6369 It has a petrol engine
  4. Hi, I'm selling my Skoda Octavia vRS Mk1 estate. I bought it as a project car as I like the Mk 1 wagon shape and there was opportunity to tidy it up. However, we moved house last year and I gave up a driveway and garage and my enthusiasm has faded and I now want to move it on. Also, living in rural Yorkshire and the "poor" road quality here means I'm heading back to Subaru having previously owned a bullet proof Forester. I'll be keeping the Yeti though so not leaving Briskoda entirely and all the great help and advice it offers. Here's the car details. **News Flash** Both front brakes have just had a full service with new discs and pads (15-03-18). The invoice receipt is in the photo gallery. Asking price has dropped to £1550 NOW SOLD. Mileage: 96300 Owned from 90270. This will go up as I'm still using it to commute to the station. MOT: 22/11/18 Previous owners: 5 Owned the past 3.5 years Service History: 6x service stamps 22/10/04 @ 8904 01/11/05 @ 16315 06/04/06 @ 21041 04/04/11 @ 57799 07/06/12 @ 68000 07/08/15 @ 90270 2x local Skoda specialist 20/11/16 20/11/17 Timing Belt: Replaced 04/04/11 @ 57799 Maintenance and replacements (In my ownership): Factory Spyder alloys x4 Michelin Pilot Sport 3 tyres x4 (approx 4-5 mm tread all round) Refitted full factory exhaust Wheel Bearing o/s front Breather Hose Coolant Temp Sensor Thermostat Track Rod End n/s front Track Rod End o/s front Coil Spring o/s rear Brake Light Switch Spark plugs Front brake pads Pollen filter Oil Filter Oil Modifications: K&N air induction kit. Towbar and electrics. Known issues: Multi CD player not working. High level brake light working intermittent. Body work: Paint is cracked and chipped n/s rear bumper. I dinged it, hitting our other car while reversing it onto the drive. Some other scratches and marks that are relevant with age of the car. Notably, a previous owner thought it was a good idea to move the vRS badge under the Skoda badge on the boot lid. WHY?! Also, I've removed the two orange LED lights from the front bumper intakes. Again, a previous owner had these wired up to the side repeaters. WHY?! These are shown in the photo gallery. Spares: A centre handbrake console to replace existing one where the cup holder lever is missing. Keys: 1 Manuals: Original service and instruction manuals, plus radio key fob Asking price is £1550 NOW SOLD. I'm in Haworth, near Keighley and Skipton, West Yorkshire. If you have further questions and want to arrange a viewing and/or test drive get in touch. Obviously I'll accompany you on the test drive and relevant insurance will be required. A couple of photos below, but I've created a Flickr gallery with lots more photos here
  5. The Yeti is 2010 model and bought second hand. It already has two paint chip blobs on the bonnet from previous owner. Colour match wasn't perfect, but I'm not going to cry about it. I only know they're there. I'm going to do these new chips myself. Quite fancy the challenge of how "invisible" I can make them.
  6. Some "cracking" answers there After reading some mixed reviews about Chipex, I'm going for it as the results look impressive and their colour match is very good. It just sounds like you've got to follow the 3 step instructions and build up the paint layers. Can't be that hard!
  7. Hi, Last week was mischievous night (I live in Yorkshire) and my Yeti was egged by some local yoof who probably thought it was a right laugh. After cleaning said egg from the bonnet and windscreen I noticed the impact from the egg shell had left some small chips in the paint work. Annoyed. Yes. Getting over it. Yes. Anyone know where can I get some Corrida Red touch up paint. Local Skoda Dealer or online somewhere??? Cheers, Richard
  8. I've been searching the forum about 2 months for a set of original Spyder alloys with tyres. Bought a set of 4 from someone on here about two weeks ago. Only seen individuals wheels on ebay, no sets recently. Keep at it they eventually turn up. Like previous poster, try the Wanted section, but also look at the For Sale section as mine came from a car sale and these were being thrown in, so I made a separate offer for them.
  9. Hi, Coming in late here... I need the OEM exhaust from the cat backwards (middle section and back box). Is this available?
  10. How do. Recently bought a Skoda Octavia vRS thats been tweaked. Enjoying the ride and boost. I can handle the dump valve in the engine bay but the Cherry Bomb exhaust has to go. I'm 40, not 14.... Also owner of a Japanese import Subaru Forester STi 1997 and a VW Karmann Ghia 1966.
