There is a great thread on VCDS adaptations in the forums: http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/299426-octavia-iii-vcds-adaptations-tried-and-tested/ -

Is your car equipped with the auto tailgate? -
Hi all, I have a Mk3 Octavia VRS wagon (estate) and I have fitted Eibach Sportline Lowered springs on the factory shocks. Has anyone out there fitted lowered springs and Bilstein B8 shortened shocks? If so, what are your impressions? Cheers

Great work! Do you think the new sub would fit in the Canton enclosure?
-
50-100hz is the frequency the amp outputs to the sub channel. Even at that frequency a better quality sub with a heftier magnet will result in a cleaner, tighter, punchier sound.

Hi Matt, I've just taken delivery of my MY16 RS Wagon and have done a couple of minor electronic tweaks with my RossTech VCDS interface. Looking to lower it slightly and perhaps slightly widen the track at some stage. An ECU will be on the cards but not for a year or so. I'm also in Australia and find this forum awesome!

40-150 should be fine - the canton will be able to drive that

Looks like might need to pull back the carpet to undo bolts behind as shown in pic. Here's another angle:

1x200w (2x100w), 1x4 ohm, 2x8 ohm

Yeah I've been thinking about this possibility. I have a wiring diagram somewhere listing the rating and impedence on the sub. All I think it would involve would be finding the same size, same impedence driver but much better quality, eg bigger magnet, and retro fitting it. 6.5 inches is not great but the sound could be improved with a better driver.

How did you remove the subwoofer box from the trunk?
-
Quick question, sorry if it has been answered elsewhere... With your spacers, front as an example, is that 10mm per side, total 20mm front widening, or 5mm per side so total 10mm front. Also, how do you find the handling being a little lower and wider. Do you think it has improved when you've got a bit of hurry on?
