Hi all, 3.5 years and 106,880 miles and my Superb Mk3 is going to it's new owner today. I thought a small report would be useful to current and prospective owners: Skoda Superb Hatch 2.0Tdi Manual SE-L 150 Purchase price : £26,000 Value at the end : £8150 Start Mileage : 6 Finish Mileage : 106,880 Costs; 4 sets of front tyres (current set have 3k on) 5 serviced with one due now 1 set of rear pads and discs due to corrosion Original rear tyres still and front pads / discs! Replacement glovebox under warranty That's it, amazingly cheap to run. I've purchased it from my lease company and I've sold it to a Taxi driver from down south, made a small profit on it myself and have quite enjoyed the experience! It'll make a great taxi and will really look the part.. Truly the best car I've owned, I've now got a VW Arteon on order, due June '19. I would've ordered another Superb but the lease costs were prohibitive to say the least. All the best.

Purchase from Lease Company - fair price

I've managed to get them down to £8150. Mixed opinions above, but you have to admit, it's a great car for that sort of money. -

Just front, rears were replaced due to corrosion. -
Noticed this on my 2015 diesel model. I'll keep an eye on it but nothing too serious at the moment, 65 plate done 100k.

99k, Still original pads, discs and rear tyres... -
I've done 28,000 on mine Eagle F1 tyres with around 2.5mm remaining. Can't speak highly enough of them, still great grip considering the wet conditions at the moment..
-
My rear pads and discs were replaced at around 70k due to corrosion - still on original front pads and discs at 93k.

What would owners replace their superb with?
teebs replied to Whenwillilearn's topic in Skoda Superb Mk III (2015 - 2023)
My father got a 65 plate 520d M Sport the same month I got my Superb. The Skoda has been far more reliable than his BMW. In 2.5 years his car has been in the garage for about 6 weeks in total with quite a few different issues..my Skoda, despite having over double the mileage has only been in for routine servicing. I won't even go into lease costs, fuel economy and comfort because the Skoda is leagues ahead In those respects. -

Mines a company car and as good as the Superb is, I won't get another one. I'll go for either a 5 series, new 3 series or VW Arteon, just depends on what deals the manufacturers are doing when I order in October. For the money, mine has been a great car for covering big mileage. -
How many miles / km you have?
teebs replied to Mobrado5's topic in Skoda Superb Mk III (2015 - 2023)
2015 2.0 Tdi 150, 76,000 miles. No major issues. -
All down hill! No, it's was York to London and back, then York to Leicester and back. Fair bit of town driving in there too. Benefits of a 65 litre tank - looking at the Audi A5, that's a 40 litre tank..
-
150tdi manual - last week I managed 821 miles before refuelling.
-
York to Sheffield to Wembley - 63.8mpg on the computer, usually 6% out.
-
No, picked up during a service
-
Corrosion. My car is still on the original front pads and discs, so the rears were very lightly used and corroded badly.
-
Mine were replaced last week due to this issue, 65 plate covered 73k.
-
Have to agree, the new A5 Sportback is pretty miserable looking, not to mention very under-specced for the price. Interestingly, lease prices are showing considerably cheaper for the 190 tdi as opposed to the 150.

Front tyre ware on inside edges

Why would you MOT a car that will be less than 3 years old?
