  1. Thank you for all your replies, I'll keep the forum posted. Cheers
  2. Hi, I know this isn't a new issue, and I have looked around the forum for specific answers, but the Infotainment head unit in our 2016 Yeti has gone off the rails! It flashes around all functions and will randomly dial telephone numbers as well as switching radio channels etc. The touch screen seems dead and the menu selection buttons do nothing. Safest thing is to turn it off! Talking to the local Skoda dealership, it looks like they want to sell me a new unit, which would be fine except that they'd like to charge me £1450 for the privilege. I think this is 'slightly' too much, so I am asking the forum two things Could this fault be repaired at a reasonable cost? Is there anyone in the West Midlands who you could recommend? If not, are there any after market solutions which people have fitted and which do the job? I'd like to retain functionality of steering wheel operation and the parking guidance malarkey. I know you are going to ask me what model, I really don't know!! I will attach a photograph... Thanking you in anticipation
  3. Hi Thingy, Yes i did put my own plate on the Yeti. For more than 2 months after moving the plate the ULEZ check still showed the details of my old Superb! This morning I received confirmation that the Yeti is compliant and I wont have to pay the ULEZ charge for entering the zone! Thanks to everyone who took time to comment and offer advice/information, everyone has been most helpful.
  4. Hi Silver/Muddyjim - I did the same as you, got a registration from autotrader - the same model and year - and spec - and yes, you are correct, however my Yeti received this: However I did speak to someone at ULEZ and he agreed that it was compliant and interestingly asked me if it was a 'Motorbility' car before I purchased it - which it was. This has some bearing on whether it is compliant or not - I didn't quite follow his logic. Now they want to see a copy of the V5 to establish that it is what I say it is. Thanks for you response - I do hope they sort it out promptly! Below is the 'one' I tried.... John
  5. Hi I have just changed from a well worn (!) 2.0 diesel Superb MkII (2010) estate to a 1.2 tsi 2016 DSG Yeti. Part of the reason, was to comply with the London ULEZ charge. My Superb was not exempt and I automatically thought the Yeti would be....my wife has a 2015 VW Beetle which is exempt and has the same running gear - 1.2 Tsi DSG petrol engine. It transpires that my Yeti will have to pay the £12.50 a day ! Has anyone else had the same result when checking a similarly specced Yeti? Many thanks.
  6. Just thought I'd say hi and ask a question - probably been asked before! John from West Midlands - Superb Estate Elegance Tdi 170bhp DSG. Owner for 4 months, brilliant car let down by can of foam as a substitute for a spare wheel - advice on proper spare wheel please! Thanks.
