Not much point in me still looking for "Rig" around here then :D if youve mooched back up to Norn Iron

Back into final year but have a job offer when i finish, though i'm not sure i'll be lucky enough to get back to Clonmel. I do still visit regularly enough so keep an eye out ;) Does your mrs drive a red citigo?

  2. I will see use all on Sunday.  Could not be happening at a worse time for me as my wheels are currently away getting acid dipped and re-furbed and my car goes in on Monday morning to the bodyshop to get some paint work done after being in a minor crash it was fixed but badly is an understatment.  all that being said i live about 5 minutes away from Oxford Island so i have no real excuse haha.

Good thing about this location is there is a Large cafe which sells Hot and Cold food.

Bad thing is if its warm weather there will be swarms of miggy's.  (If this is the case on the day and the event organizer wanted i could possibly help move to another location)

Looks like rain for Sunday :(

  3. Could be worse - i spent the last 4hrs of the hottest day of the year ripping out the edge floor tiles and skirting boards in the kitchen after discovering an ant-ular issue around the door frame. Little ******s had "Antopia" set up in the space behind skirting board :( waiting for pest man to come and size up the potential scope of the issue.

Ironically only discovered them as i was lifting a couple of corner tiles to evaluate the adhesive situation for a quote to retile the feckin place!

We've a pest controller in every year because of the b******s, estate is built on top of sand it seems!

  4. Where abouts, I will be heading up from furrymanagh too (still pending work not being tools)

Just started typing furrymanagh into Google maps before it clicked with me.  :giggle:  It'll be Enniskillen if I do decide to come up the Saturday though i've family down in waterford that weekend so it might suit me to head up Sunday morning.

  5. Right. Oxford Island are grand. No trouble at all, in fact the guy in charge was quite enthusiastic. "Skodas?" he said, "There'll be loads of you, they're EVERYWHERE!"  :D  :D  :D  :D  :D

It's open from 10-5, with breakfast until 11.30 and other food available throughout the day, plus they're cool with BBQs if you fancy. I'm just to warn them of approximate numbers nearer the time.

So, seeing as it's the guts of 4 hrs driving from Clonmel (you nutter, Yellowsnow), why don't we say lunchtime? 1 o'clock?

Not dictating here, that's a suggestion. Please chime in...

Takes about 3  ;) I'll probably be travelling up the night before maybe and then heading on from Fermanagh although did I see that some one else heading up from the south? I'm easy for any time!

  6. I know the blue FL, seen it around too.

ill have to keep me eyes open for the Nordy plate ;)

Theres also a white FL mk2 on sligo plates and a black FL mk2 on tipp plates knocking around. And... theres a blue PFL literally across the estate from me.. really have to make time to get over there and see whats his story!

I know the lad who owns the white FL VRS actually.  Unfortunately though his wife and himself have just been let go from Abbott and will be moving back up to Sligo next month. His VRS actually started life in Fermanagh funny enough!!  :D

  7. Mobile version no showy car detail :(

Annd... i took a punt on it being the red vrs one ive seen knocking around based address on the vcds map ;)

Theres a few mk2 vrs's around in the last 12months ish, but ive a feeling none are members! I left a note under the wiper blade about brisky on a mk1 vrs i ended up parked beside one day, even with my username as a reference... saw nothing in the hellos.

    As for convoying up?

I doubt ill manage it. Work (despite a new minister who hates my sector) is on big push for upgrde completions this yr, so ive not a lot of free weekends for a while :(

We are hopin to get a few days in belfast for a little holiday durin summer though, with a ferry crossing to visit sis in law too (glasgow),so ill be up that direction at some stage :)

Passing through on sunday too, to boat it over to collect a car load of toddler gear from the same SIL. Back monday evening (24hr stay cheap rae crossing)

I know the red VRS you're talking about but it's not mine unfortunately. Yes I've noticed a crazy amount of them since I moved down, had someone play a game of cat and mouse with me in his race blue FL VRS and the back road from Carrick to Clonmel a couple of weeks ago. First time I've came home from work smiling in a long time!

  8. Clonmel would be a fair trek! I have to go to down that neck of the woods ish soon for an appointment....... not looking forward to it, bloody toll roads :( If you have any plans for being up this way during summer let us know could help in setting a rough date?

YellowSnow, this is a slight tangent, but I am always being pestered by Ken, the organiser of this meet (held at Kilkenny show). He's a Skoda man too (lovely old 1000MB in the pic linked below is his yoke). Problem is I have a recurring family commitment last weekend in August so it always rules me out, but it's nearer Tipperary for sure and I thought you might fancy it. There was another meet (Leinster I think) being discussed on here the other day, but I didn't pay it much attention.

Like FUBAR said, if you have plans to be up North, or at least further North in the summer, let us know.

I'm constantly up and down the road so if you just set a date i'll stick it in the diary! Hopefully i'll have moved back up north by then Jonny but if i'm about i'll definitely check it out!
