  1. Your mechanic has most likely pulled off one of the small vacuum pipes under the bonnet, have a look at the front of engine and around bulkhead and that should cute your fault.
  2. I don't think the newer passat has the same seat setup as the older one but I'm open to correction. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  3. Gave the rims on the superb a bit of a freshen up today and changed colour, I wasn't keen at first but now I've looked at it for a few hours I kinda like it. What's your opinion folks. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  4. They have a lot of emissions issues so it depends on the limits for your national vehicle test, all the steel brake pipes rust badly so replace all with nickel blend, they break front springs (seldom rear). A lot of them have been scrapped for a top end knock in the engine that rises with revs but it is just a baffle plate in the inlet manifold and very easy and free fix. Overall they are reliable enough but they do like to use a drop of oil. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  5. Inner tie rod is broken straight off and most likely sump too. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  6. Seats will all fit straight in but might not have the looms for the electrics and switches etc as well as possible coding issues for the different options. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  7. Yep that's the ones, they are brilliant for rounded flare nuts Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  8. There is a specific vice grip you can buy for rounded nuts, great job for brake pipes. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk

  11. Of course tracking will be affected, you are replacing a worn part with a new one, for the sake of a few quid get the alignment checked and know for sure it's right. I've changed hundreds and almost all have needed adjustment afterwards. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  12. HIDs are a fail for Nct in ireland now, England might follow suit. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  13. Careful of the bush cables lad they will invalidate your insurance. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  14. I adjusted mine without computer and although they held the same setting they did not self adjust until I did it properly using my delphi diagnostic. Now they raise and lower as I'm driving to suit the road. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  15. You need to use the computer to adjust them, you will damage the lamps otherwise. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  16. 48 miles, takes about an hour. No real traffic unless I get caught behind a truck. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  17. Might also be a broken road spring. Common enough. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  18. Not a lot to show buddy, my original had some of the digits not working on the heater display so I stripped a unit from a passat and just used the lcd display in my own climatronic unit so it still have the skoda green back lighting instead of the blue vw.Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  19. Cannibalised a passat climatronic unit for the lcd display and fitted it to my superb so I have a functioning display but still the green back lighting so very happy fix for a tenner. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  20. Great job Ben,will be waiting for the updates, well done. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  21. Removed both offside door panels to see why the door handle light on the front one wasn't working and see what was rattling in the back one. Handle light just wasn't plugged in and the rattle in the rear was the hook cable not sitting properly into its clip. Two easy fixes so happy days. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  22. I got quite annoyed today when a bloke with small man syndrome decided to tell me he was going to slap my head off and break both my legs because his car failed it's Nct, it wasn't even me that tested it. He stood screaming at me for 20 minutes and all I could do was stand there. .. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
