  1. tried what you said and no lack in presser and if i losen of the exhaust it make it stall and found out today that if i pull away off the clutch and then just tape the throttle it makes it judder with the reves
  2. on a generic reader it logs p0170 powertrain fule trim bank 1 on vcds it just come up with a leak in air intake
  3. update on the troubles found out today that if you put it in gear and pull away in first just of the clutch it will move but have to keep the clutch slightly down if you come complete off the clutch it judders a lot like it wants to stall
  4. yeah am rather lucky aha did hurt tho and have replaced them and the spark plugs with no effect to the issue :( starting to look like i might have to get a new car :(
  5. hello everyone was trying to fix a problem with my 1.4 16v 2001 fabia where i have a hunting idol and unresponsive throttle (more info on this in my other topic http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/375596-throttle-unresponsive-and-unsteady-idle/ ) so i was checking the ht leads to see if it could be a problem with spark plugs or ht leads or coil pack or something like that and as i removed the ht lead it started sparking in the chamber and then gave me a pretty bad electric shock and this was all from the rubber and obviously i dropped the lead and it rested on a bit of mettle and continued to spark away like crazy was wondering if this could be what was crossing my problem
  6. yes the throttle body body has been readapted and the erg was change a couple of months bach but i did clean it and the valve is fine
  7. okay so my 1.4 16v 2001 fabia is driving my crazy it started with a bad idle and then when to a bad idle and unresponsive throttle so I've changed the throttle body for a new one after trying a second hand one also taken of the intel manifold erg and pipe for erg and clean everything a resealed the intake tested the map sensor and o2 sooner both apparently working also change the servo vacuum pipe as that was split and changed the battery but still the same problem so the current symptoms are start the engine and the it revs then it drops to about 1 thousand touch the throttle and come off it and it starts to bounce between 1 and 1.5 thousand then if you put your foot to the floor it will go to about 2 thousand but no more can anyone help me out with this don't now what else to try any help would be greatly appreciated
  8. wondering if anyone has replaced the gaskets on the inlet manifold i have my one off the car at the moment taken off in one bit want to dismantle the lot but i can't find replacement gaskets so wondering what people have done
  9. my dash is allready a Christmas tree haha and because it seems to just make problems
  10. this has probably been answer before and i did post in the topic about egr blanking but no reply so was wondering if anyone has done it on a 1.4 16v and wether it was okay with mots and what effects it had
