tried what you said and no lack in presser and if i losen of the exhaust it make it stall and found out today that if i pull away off the clutch and then just tape the throttle it makes it judder with the reves

any other ways as the engine cant be reved

on a generic reader it logs p0170 powertrain fule trim bank 1 on vcds it just come up with a leak in air intake

can you recommend anyway to test for this?

update on the troubles found out today that if you put it in gear and pull away in first just of the clutch it will move but have to keep the clutch slightly down if you come complete off the clutch it judders a lot like it wants to stall

yeah am rather lucky aha did hurt tho and have replaced them and the spark plugs with no effect to the issue :( starting to look like i might have to get a new car :(

hello everyone was trying to fix a problem with my 1.4 16v 2001 fabia where i have a hunting idol and unresponsive throttle (more info on this in my other topic http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/375596-throttle-unresponsive-and-unsteady-idle/ ) so i was checking the ht leads to see if it could be a problem with spark plugs or ht leads or coil pack or something like that and as i removed the ht lead it started sparking in the chamber and then gave me a pretty bad electric shock and this was all from the rubber and obviously i dropped the lead and it rested on a bit of mettle and continued to spark away like crazy was wondering if this could be what was crossing my problem

yes the throttle body body has been readapted and the erg was change a couple of months bach but i did clean it and the valve is fine

okay so my 1.4 16v 2001 fabia is driving my crazy it started with a bad idle and then when to a bad idle and unresponsive throttle so I've changed the throttle body for a new one after trying a second hand one also taken of the intel manifold erg and pipe for erg and clean everything a resealed the intake tested the map sensor and o2 sooner both apparently working also change the servo vacuum pipe as that was split and changed the battery but still the same problem so the current symptoms are start the engine and the it revs then it drops to about 1 thousand touch the throttle and come off it and it starts to bounce between 1 and 1.5 thousand then if you put your foot to the floor it will go to about 2 thousand but no more can anyone help me out with this don't now what else to try any help would be greatly appreciated

wondering if anyone has replaced the gaskets on the inlet manifold i have my one off the car at the moment taken off in one bit want to dismantle the lot but i can't find replacement gaskets so wondering what people have done

my dash is allready a Christmas tree haha and because it seems to just make problems

has anyone done this to the 2001 1.4 16v petrol? some one said to me that its bad for petrols but i don't see how especially on the fabia with how many problems the seem to make and also if so have you been getting through mot's alright? cheers

its got a really crap idle and say about the mpg as it cant drive at the moment as with the problems that its having the throttle is unresponsive

Okay so my 1.4 16v is playing up... Still got a code Powertrain - Fuel and Air Metering - ISO/SAE Controlled well not so much the code stupid me didn't take down the code just the description anyone know what this might be

well thats anothing thing to add to the list of things to get done on top of finishing the new paint job and rebuilding the car and geting a mot before it gets toed off thanks for the advice greatly appreciated any idea on how much vcds will set me back

so today i thought it would be a god idea to give my EGR pipes and throttle body a clean as ive been having the fault code saying that there is insufficient flow so removed the EGR and the throttle body and any connecting pipes for cleaning then reassembled everything started the engine and now the EPC light is on and its constantly reving up to 15 thousand and down to 10 thousand and the throttle is unresponsive so am under the impression that theres something wrong with the throttle body but i dont fancy spending almost 200 quid on it if its not that so has anyone had this problem or know of any fixes that might help me out or have a spare throttle body?

Hi having a problem with some codes they keep coming and going the codes are as follow p0401 p0638 p0135 whenever the codes come up the revs bounce and the throttel has no effect and doesn't work the its had a new erg and the throttle bottle housing and all pipe work has been cleaned out and is free of blockages any help would be great thanks

the left and right window aperture seals on my 2001 skoda are destroyed and i need to get some new ones I've looked every where for them but i can't find any just wondering if anyone know where i can get some of if there are another models that fit any help would be greatly apriceated
