  1. Nice one, glad you are happy with your new Yeti, enjoy your new drive,I love mine, prefer to the Beemer I had hands down.
  2. I bought a new Yeti 4x4 150 dsg last year,as you correctly say with the extras up near the rest in price. My previous car was a BMW,I have to say I totally prefer the Yeti as a drivers car, apart from a wind whistle from the drivers door it is reasonably quiet, fairly quick now it has loosened up and becoming reasonably economical. I like the slightly quirky looks and personally think it handles quite well considering the non aerodynamic body shape. I have a friend with a Passat with park assist and he used it once! The Yeti is more comfortable and the variations you can do with the rear seats make it for me a practical all rounder that is fun to drive. Anyway enjoy your test drives and good luck with making the decision.
  3. Yes sir, have exactly the same, irritating as I suffer from tinnitus anyway, will see what they can do when I take it in for first service, boss says passenger one doesn't do it!
  4. I am on my third Skoda, worked through two Fabias and have still the second 2011 Monte 1.6 tdi 75, soon to have a remap. we bought last year the Yeti 2.0 tdi,4x4 dsg edition.Absolutely love it,after just over 5,000 Kms it is loosening up nicely, only dislikes adblue and polystyrene underfloor stealing boot space, soon to be rectified by help on here.DSgG is superb, unlike the silly armrest which is a shame and easily could have been made better. minor faults but an absolutely cracking car to drive.
  5. Welcome back, enjoy your new Yeti soon.We think the one we collected last October is the best car we have ever had,I still love my old Monte for bombing around in though!
  6. Looks like so many others, will stick with my current model, might be different to most but I like that, easier to find in the car park.
  7. In France I know but we ordered our Yeti in June and picked it up roughly on the projected date mid October. Really pleased with it too!
  8. Exactly as said, took a little spinning over and stalled once or twice but soon settled down and ran sweetly. To me it's surprising the difference it makes and a ten minute job.
  9. Looks nice, first time I have seen a "van" Yeti, just looks like darkened windows, neat. Will you tune it while still in warranty?Wondered about doing this.
  10. Well you could be onto something,it never occurred to me when we ordered the car that an alarm would be an option!! I automatically thought the flashing red light on top of the door panel signified an alarm, shows how much I know!! Will dig deeper and many thanks for your help. Blimey for €32,750 thought I would get a Rottweiler included!!
  11. Thanks both for the quick replies. Bit of a mystery as nothing definitely on either post. The handbook shows exactly what your pic does but absolutely nothing there! Tried the two presses on the key,it flashed quickly and then slowed down to normal flash and after a while gave it a rock, didn't hear anything. I have downloaded the handbook in English from here and shows the same as what you have told me,looks like someone has nicked my switch??? Will see what happens, wonder if the battery will die after 36 hours round the Bay of Biscay, bloody hope not.By the way the car has Kessy and safelock, Thanks again.
  12. Hi guys, Have looked in the search engine and technical guide and even the handbook with no answer. I am taking our brand new Yeti on a trip to the U.K. Next week followed by a trip from Portsmouth to Bilbao. With 36 hrs on the boat I want to disable the alarm. The handbook says there is a button between the front and rear doors in the column on the drivers side, which there isn't !! It says you should switch of the ignition and press the button and lock the door within 30 seconds. It shows a picture of a car with off written on it,have also checked all of the dash, maxidot etc and can see no means of switching it off. Any help would be appreciated as I don't have time to get back to the dealers this week and don't want to hear, bing bong will the owner of the Yeti please return to his car blah blah. Thanks in advance for any help or advice.
