After all this terrible rain we've been having I've noticed water coming out of the bottom of my offside rear door. This is the same door which the lock doesn't work on. I'm assuming this is the reason why. Is this a common problem? Is there a guide I can follow to fix it? My car has stayed bone dry inside fortunately. But I want to nip this in the bud asap. Cheers

115k but full service history just had cambelt and water pump done. 2 owners from new. I bought from a dealer with waranty. A little superficial rust in the back archers but other than that hopefully a good buy. I'm currently sealing and checking for ingress but so far all clean and dry. Good luck the hunt.

I bought a 2005 Skoda Superb Elegance Tdi 130pd. It isn't steamed up when we go to the car it streams up once the 4 of us are in there. It clears pretty much instantly once I put the fan on. I may attempt to get the battery out and do the pollen filter today. It's been dry here but the weather is changing and I need use of the car. I just hope I don't make a pigs ear of it. All electrics other than the back lock and reverse sensors work. I couldn't feel any moisture under the vent under the passenger seat. I hope I'm just being paranoid and its fine. Will try and post some pics later. Thanks for all help and advice thus far!

On further inspection I've put my hands right under the carpet drivers and passengers side this morning and cannot feel any moisture. The car has been sat for 4 (relatively dry) weeks. Prior to this im ensured it was kept garaged. I am still going to fix the pollen filter. But what is the likelihood the steaming up is due to it just being sat outside and undriven and the back door lock not working is just down to it being 10 years old?

'Water Ingress Problem'........SOLVED!

Hi, I've bought a mark 1 2005 with ingress :(. After reading through this thread (which I'm going to reread a fare few times) I think I'm going to have a go at rectifying it myself. Even thought I'm the least practical person on the planet. I think I can get my head around most of it. But I've never ever attempted soldering in my life. Is there another easier way of fixing corroded wires for a clumsy oaf such as myself? Thanks Cp
