  1. As requested, trims, tread depth is around 6 - 7 mm. Only pic I have showing wheels on the Fabia.
  2. Granddaughter having sleepover will get pics after lunch. Tyres are Continental Continental Winter Contact TS860 (Winter Tyre) product description & features Auto Express Winter Tyre Award Winner, 2018 V-shaped tread offers greater grip and better traction Cool Chili compound reduces braking distances The Continental Winter Contact TS860 is a winter tyre designed to build on the safety performances and abilities of the successful TS 850. The WinterContact TS 860 was named as the winner of the Auto Express winter tyre test - 2018. To deliver a more effective braking performance, even on icy roads, Continental have produced 'Liquid Layer Drainage'. This new system works by incorporating an extra channel that is moulded throughout the tyre's tread block to allow water to quickly drain - helping to reduce braking distances on icy and slushy roads. Continental have designed the WinterContact TS 860 with a V-shaped tread pattern, featuring 'SnowCurve' technology. With its 3D groove wall structure and, additional groove, the tyre is able to enhance the meshing effect when driving on snow - this helps to deliver stronger grip and enable more powerful better traction when driving on snow.
  3. Mrs Domus has now sold her 2018 Fabia and so we have a set of winter tyres on steel rims cluttering up the place. Save those alloys from salt. £50.00 per corner with quite attractive full wheel trims with Skoda emblem, as new as her winter miles were few and far between. Collect from Manchester.
  4. Fitted mine from Superskoda last week while fitting the winters. No issues at all, vRS Estate.
  5. Picked up the vRS just before Christmas (22nd) booked it into local specialist for removable tow bar. Ummed and arrd about winter tyres, finally ordered just before New Year from My Tyres. January 4 tow bar fitted, within a mile the EPC warning light came on and the stop start error came on. Reported to tow bar people they said to bring it back for re setting, before i could get it in I noticed the cruise was not working. After a couple of hours they could not re set the electronics due to VAG having new software that they had not issued to third party users and the main dealer would be able to re set. They offered to pick up the bill. Main dealer could not help for a week or so. In the mean time My Tyres despatched the tyres via DPD who promptly delivered them to the wrong place (a wheel and tyre place about 10 miles away) I told them and they would look into it, after 24 hours I rang them again to find out they knew where they were and would get them back and deliver the next day. I impressed on them that I would only be in in the morning and was going out at noon. In the afternoon I received a text to say that they tried to deliver them at 13.00 and there was no one in. Spoke to them again and they promised to deliver the next day (Thursday) again I impressed I wanted them early as I wanted them on before the promised snow and Ice on the Friday. Ten minutes past four they arrived. Arrrrgh. Wheels finally fitted and a short test drive showed the wheel weights rubbing a casting seam on the front calipers, fixed with the use of a flap wheel on an angle grinder. (Note to self red paint required when summer wheels re fitted.) Into the dealer (Lookers Salford) at 08.30 on Tuesday for an hour on the diagnostics/re set. Three hours later, after a phone call to the tow bar people to ascertain which version of tow bar software installed, and all was well, until they drove it out of the workshop and the light came back on in less than 50 yards, back in the shop and light could not be re set. Lookers were fantastic and waived any charge. Back to tow bar place, they immediately contacted their supplier and ordered a new module and loom. Picked it up this morning, 5 miles home all appears well. And breathe
  6. Spoke to Customer Services who said they would contact the local depot for me. Just had another DPD delivery (iPhone) the driver said that the wheels would have been on a 40 footer so not used to dropping at residential properties. I suspect he had another drop at a tyre depot and dropped mine off as well. I will give them another hour or so then ring them back.
  7. Just had this fitted last week. Thule Euro Classic G 6.
  8. Expecting delivery any time now. Checked the DPD tracking website last night to find they were delivered and signed for but not here and not by me. Just spoken to DPD they have no idea where they are but will try to get it sorted in the next 5 days. Arrrrrrrrrrrgh
  9. And the correct answer is of course, it was me being a numpty. Ta
  10. New vRS petrol Estate with Amundsen. How do I input a postcode? The only screen prompts are for street and number. Or as the title suggests am I being a numpty?
  11. Anyone in the Manchester area with one of these willing to disable the beep for a couple of beer tokens? Mud flaps ordered from Superskoda. Just been putting a couple of items in the boot, kneeling mat, gloves etc and checked the tyre pressures. All over the place. All 4 over 40psi. Now all at 35psi, ready for the first proper run tomorrow visiting number 1 and number 2 daughters. Quick question, there is no insulating mat on the inside of the bonnet but there are slots in the bonnet to accept one, or does the petrol not need one?
  12. Thanks for the info but you need to explain VCDS.
  13. I have the powered tailgate feature, very nice but can I get rid of the beeping? Sounds like a bin wagon reversing.
