  1. Lee01 , Evolution13 and Tech1e Thanks for the responses Did some more investigating and 6 peed conversion would not be possible for a another reason , I had a 02m LSD fitted only compatible for the 5 speed box, an 02j-2 is 5 or 6 speed boxes. Now looking at swapping the engines , I had the timing chain changed on the Fabia at 85K , now at 135k whereas the Altea changed at 69k now 81k, fabia is a 84bhp, remapped to 122bhp whereas is a 103bhp, plan to use the fabia remapped ecu. Is this feasible
  2. Per title can it be done, I have 6 box available fro a Seat Altea 1.2tsi. Fabia is a Feb 2010, Altea is March 2010.
  3. I had a similar judder , it was the fuel filter clogging with crap, a new one sorted it.
  4. Just seen this, but too late to go , though no venue mentioned.
  5. Have you thought of replacing all the rubber bushes, which deteriorate and result in softer ride, and make spring do more work. Changing to polyurethane bushes add stiffness and will outlast the car giving an improved ride.
  6. Any update on this engine install?

  8. I have a remapped Fabia mk2 1.2tsi CBZA was 85hp now 122hp, first registered Feb 2011. I also have Seat Altea 1.2tsi CBZB 105hp , registered Mar 2011 In fact just 14 days between them. I also have access to vcds , is it possible to use vcds to copy the Fabia remap and install it into the Altea ECU? Regards Ken

  13. Well as previously posted I had drop in fuel economy from range of over 400 miles down 360 ish. But now back to over 400 miles. Back to using E5, ie Tesco momentum 99 Ron. Bit more expensive but to me it's worth it.
  14. Nice see mines ok , GB with Union Jack on left side of number plate. Surprised to see that GB with Euro symbol is acceptable.
  15. Just be aware that headlight led bulb upgrade are a MOT failure. Extract Please note that since January 2021, the MOT Inspection manual has been updated to include LED bulbs. Section 4.1.4 now states the following: “Existing halogen headlamp units should not be converted to be used with high intensity discharge (HID) or light emitting diode (LED) bulbs. If such a conversion has been done, you must fail the headlamp.” This is a brand new update that seems to only focus on headlights. There are no mentions to fail other LED bulbs such as brake lights, tail lights or reversing lights. I suggest Osram Nightbreaker, I have only LED sidelights, Fog lights and number plate. LED Indicators and Brake fail Canban
