  1. is it smoking like peterposh said? if it's not doing that then it must be leaking slowly, i had a problem once, where the car only leaked when driving, causing the oil to "swim" to the back of the car, not leaving any signs of leaks or puddles.
  2. I'm removing mine soon, i'll take pictures for you if you weren't able to remove it
  3. Does the indicators flash when you close or open ?
  4. I was having trouble removing the door panel as were some owners, i've searched and found a thread with dead pictures, so with careful disassembly i've managed to remove it. and decided to make a how to. HERE is a direct link. and will post a pdf when the instructable is published. i've also removed and disassembled the mirror, and replaced the courtesy light, if anyone's interested
  5. Long story short,DON'T ! i've had some problems with our new superb mk2, tcm shorting can bus, and the car goes haywire ! first logical thing was to obtain a vag-com cable, importing one here is really hard and takes time, and while searching for a local seller i found one that sells the clones, i got one but didn't work and i returned it and the seller replaced it with a vag-commander. i located a shop with a genuine vag-com cable, and when i told him my story he flipped, and proceded to to tell me how he replaced dozens of can gateways which got damaged by a clone. and they're not cheap here. I know that thing is pricey, but compared to the manufacturer tool that thing is really cheap ! ordered mine, could take about a month or two, but i'll wait
  6. Driver side's was broken by the previous owner, now its bolted and taped together, i will attempt to repair soon.
  7. I usually do my led bulbs with passive components (only resistors and leds), i connect a potentiometer to the led bulb, connect it on the car, and while running (to test on the highest voltage) i start with highest resistance, and start lowering it till i reach the brightness i like, measure the resistance, and replace it with a normal resistor.
  8. this issue annoyed the hell out of me on our mercedes w210, but i solved this issue by sanding the contacts with 1500 sandpaper( even if clean), and discovered that the car only likes osram bulbs ! also our superb gave me the warning regarding the plate lights, one bulb was clearly dimmer than its sister, sanding solved it. a little solder on it should do the trick.
  9. Planning on making custom warm white leds , i can't find them anywhere ! (online isn't an option) battery life, and bulb life (less suffering for willbailey :p ) i did test couple of diy bulbs on our w210 dome, no problems with auto dimming.
  10. I was going to make my first post on fixing the damned twin door  which i did a couple of months ago, but this was easier to write, anyway, greetings fellow gem owners , this is the repair of the bluetooth module 9w3, its problem were simple to fix and apart from testing the pcb, it didn't take more than an hour to complete, i though about doing this, because i can't help but wonder, were all the replaced modules this easy to fix ?! any way i wanted to upload the PDF but, as i read i need to post more till i can upload http://www.instructables.com/id/VW-AG-9w3-Bluetooth-module-repair/
