🤞mirror working as it should again

Messing around with door. Long story short ......disconnected and reconnected battery clutching at straws and lock working again 🤷🏻‍♂️ fixed the hook back on to rear of handle when got door open. Going to reconnect mirror on off chance whatever caused that has reset 😂😂 the rear window opens now too, but only when door open 🤷🏻‍♂️

If that's the case hopefully I've enough room to open the rubber bellows with the door closed see an issue! Any ideas regarding the wing mirror?

Electric windows dude, neither button on drivers door nor rear itself will put it down. Do you reckon break in a wire where they go through near hinges? Is there anyway I can unlock the door?

Nightmare of a day, left lights on so battery was completely flat when leaving work, no display or central locking it was so low! Had jumpleads so got started and took a good run. From starting the passenger mirror is constantly adjusting itself in, motor constantly on! Allowed me to adjust then just moved back in😡 I’ve disconnected the plug in meantime. the rear ds door won’t unlock 🤦‍♂️ The interior handle seems to have popped out the cable too (noticed this a while ago and didn’t get chance to check). I removed the handle insert and speaker and can get pliers to the button and rod but when I push up the deadlocks pull back down 🤬 has anyone any advice????? If I disconnect the battery will that allow button to come up? Window doesn’t see to work on this door either. Cheers in advance

Ok had eml on in November, replaced o2 sensor, sorted. Mechanic mentioned some of the breathers coming off rocker not being great. I got a few and had them ready for him to do when it was due a service in March. Eml came back on saying airleak which he put down to the breathers he was going to replace. They were changed but eml back after a week saying about an airleak. It’s not a proper fault code, when light turned off it’s taking a few days to come back on. He’s going to have a better look this week but has anyone else experienced similar? cheers in advance 👍

I noticed on two separate days that I was missing one of the original nut covers on the same wheel 😡 assuming they were stolen on separate days as they don’t come off easily. Would anyone have a couple or more spares they’d be willing to sell?

Forgot to update the thread. O2 sensor was away and a wee breather coming off the rocker. I’ve been using the E5 super unleaded but imagine that it’s harder in fuel 🤷🏻‍♂️ Is everyone else just using e10 since the switch over with no issues?

Plugs have around 4K on them I think, hopefully get the chance to get it read tomorrow 🤞

2 days on super unleaded and the EML has just come on. Maybe just a coincidence 🤷🏻‍♂️?

Cheers just went with some e5 super there as wasn’t sure whether to chance it or not 👀 the govt site said it should be grand on e10 but I’d rather hear from actual experiences. I was more worried about it damaging components than mpg as I don’t do big miles in it.

Wasn’t wanting to use e10 in it if it wasn’t suited to it, had heard tales of it damaging fuel lines etc. Have still been using the 95ron as e10 has only been introduced here within this past week.

I’m sure this was well dealt with last year but just wondering peoples thoughts and experiences a year on. We’ve only just switched to e10 this week over here and I’m still running on my last tank of e5. It seems that they say my 02 vrs should be grand on e10, but I’m a bit sceptical and wonder would I be better sticking to e5 super. Cheers in advance 👍

The other doors and boot unlock with the fob it’s just the drivers door dude

My drivers door has stopped locking/unlocking by remote. It works when I put the key in manually. Assuming this is a common enough issue, what’s the solution? cheers 👍

Apologies if this has already been asked, but does anyone know is E10 ok to run in a 2002 VRS Octy? My local station switched over this week, going by a list someone posted on a VW forum the 1.8T should be ok, but I'd rather be sure. Thanks in advance
