  1. I can only describe what my experience was with the nightmare electric windows scenario The battery is a battery comment is so subjective, every “cheap” battery I have fitted over the years have always let me down varta and bosch are reliable
  2. You could try cleaning up the battery terminals and torque them down nice and tight my lion brand battery was only 6 months old, load of ****! bosch one fixed it
  3. I know I never believed the brand would make a difference but some cars are more sensitive to voltage drops apparently bosch have a cleaner current maybe i was just lucky because I replaced the door switch, fuses and two window modules before trying the battery
  4. A brand new battery? I tried everything and a new bosch battery sorted it been a month now no issues
  5. Like I said before, replace the battery!
  6. I tried all the usual suspects like i said, a new battery was my result i replaced fuses, door switch and the door control module, basically replacement door motors, all still didn’t solve it
  7. Hmmm strange i fitted a bosch battery, been 3 weeks no issue
  8. That will only work as a short term fix mate
  9. Yeah that is an inconvenience though try a new battery 👍
  10. Change the battery That is the only solution I found good luck
  11. Does seem odd because if your car starts fine then replacing the battery seems pointless but that is what sorted my issue maybe a better brand of battery provides a cleaner power delivery more amps
  12. Hi i would try a new battery, or borrow one and try that That solved my issues
  13. Hi guys had this exact problem with my 2005 Fabia VRS tried new fuses, new window motors and door switch, no joy ! then i replaced the battery with a decent brand, on this case a bosch tada!!! windows have worked perfectly for 2 weeks! worth a go

  16. Hi, mmm, checked all the bulbs and they are all correct. Might be the third brake light causing a problem which is common. Anyway, fuse out, no harm done and silence.
  17. Hi, Had a problem with my VRS, everytime I braked a loud beep would sound and a bulb out light would come on. Checked all brake lights and they work fine. If you guys/dolls have had the same problem and now it is driving you mad. Just find the fuse for the control unit for lamp failure and remove it..............SILENCE!!!!!! Good Luck!!!!!
  18. Hi Guys, Thanks for replies. I am from South Wales, I had the car remapped by Westec Performance, Newport. I will speak to them tomorrow.
  19. Hi Snoopie!! It is a 53 plate, with 41k on clock. had it remapped @ 38k. Plan on keeping for another 3 years
  20. Hi Everyone, my first post so here goes. The clutch on my FABIA VRS is slipping once the turbo kicks in. When revs hit 2000 rpm it slips then grips again at about 3500 rpm, do I need a new standard clutch or an upgrade?
