Regarding idling issues: I experienced a rough idle at approximately 100,000km. After repairing a cracked vacuum hose and eventually changing the whole vacuum system, changing coil pack and spark plugs, and numerous scans... the problem remained. Then I went to a VW specialist and he scanned the car again and said the cause was injectors. I told him I cleaned them but he said that simply spraying them wasn't enough. I had to take them out and properly clean them. Haven't done ot yet... but I made a couple of long drives, pushing the car to the absolute limit! The car isles much much better now. My advice is to scan your cars and you should get misfiring codes on one or more of the pistons. The codes will indicate injector issues, wither to be cleaned or changed. Hope this helps.

Hello I need help! I have a mk2 Škoda Octavia 1.6 mpi (face lift) idle speed issue. I got the O2 upstream sensor replaced, and ignition coil pack changed, as well as the spark plugs. A small leak in the brake vacuum line was repaired, injectors and throttle body cleaned, but once optimum temperature is attained, engine sputters when car is stopped. Idle speed is low, especially when air conditioning is off! There are no error codes when scanning is done. Does anyone have any idea what the problem is, and how to resolve this?

Guys, I have noticed that it has started to function again. I drove hard last night and after getting hime the fans came on just as I walked into my home. Weird! Seems to be working... my mileage is 90,000 km. Dunno what to say but tnx for all ur help

A/C works well. Fans work normal. Cooling system is normal. It's just that when I run hard and I get home and switch off the radiator fans normally come on... and they haven't done that more than a week now!

Can anyone help? Usually after getting to a destination eg. Home, radiator fans come on after turning ignition off. I have noticed that hasn't happened whole week... even after driving hard! Temperature guage reads normal. Is there a problem with my radiator fans?

Hey, I have a 2012 octavia 1.6mpi and I have noticed that on a cold start, the engine sputters after a minute or so, and just as it is about to cut off, the idle speed normalizes and everything seems okay. I used liqui moly fuel injector cleaner thinking that maybe the cause. The problem is still present. Can anyone shed some light?
